Do it your way. Rest. Play. Climb. Swim. Ride. Walk. Up to you - most anything you want is within minutes and nothing is at your fingertips.
There may be a couple of other campers on the property but not nearby. There is a construction site where home is being rebuilt (not while campers are there) after a fire, but it will not impede your visit.
Water hose is available to wash off and water is potable. Portapotty is on-site. No cooking or eating facilities.
Small contained fires allowed if there is no fire ban. You will need water to ensure it is out before bed. Recent fire destroyed the home there, so owners are strict about fire rules.
RV on-site with someone there at night in case of emergency. It is a temporary cat sanctuary that you may visit if scheduled.
Friendly, well-behaved pets are allowed within limits more on that. No children under 12 without permission.

Mountains, river, peace and quiet
LuAnn, Chris and Lincoln are warm and welcoming! Beautiful views of Pike National Forrest. Listen to the North Fork South Platte River the entire time.
What a gorgeous view! We had a cute little nook to put up our tent and we really enjoyed our time there! The only way to get to it, however, was by trekking up and down a pretty steep incline—so just be wary that you will be needing to put in some serious work to get to an area with flat ground. Overall it was a fantastic space, the host is warm and friendly, you can have your own campfire, and the porta potty was well maintained.
Amazing hosts! unbelievable view!
LuAnn and Christian could not have been more gracious hosts. The location was perfect, the views were unbelievable, and we were welcomed right away. Our site was nice and secluded, but still close enough to facilities to be convenient for everyone. We will definitely be back!
This place was amazing! Views were awesome and LuAnn and Chris were great hosts. They both took time to greet us and made us feel welcomed. Perched on a mountain with a few flat spots to camp on depending how adventurous you are. We opted for a spot towards the top for easy trips to the porta potty and car. The mountain overlooked pike national forest for a gorgeous view all times of the day. If you’re feeling extra adventurous hike down the mountain to the river below. We will definitely be back!
LuAnn and her husband were exceptional hosts. The site felt very private even with a couple other campers dispersed along the ridge. The views are breathtaking. What a great way to wake up every morning. It is a very short hike/walk to the spots from the parking area. Leave really heavy stuff behind unless you can’t live without it. The distance isn’t bad for moderately heavy stuff. 5/5 stars. Can’t wait to go back!
Campsite was mostly flat spot of a sloped ridge overlooking a river valley on three sides. You can hear the N fork of the S Platte River roaring down in the valley. About 75 yard trek across a hill from parking site to campsite. One other couple was camping there but pretty far away across a gully. Met the owner, Christian, who was very nice and knowledgeable. His dog Lincoln is an enormous Great Dane and also very friendly. We hiked down towards the river but it seemed a little tougher than we were ready for, but spectacular views, truly alpine feel. One of the prettiest campsites we’ve ever seen, would definitely go back again!
Pros: Great view, beautiful stars, sound of the river.
Cons: Difficult access to campsites from car (better sites are more for minimalist camping), the only easily accessible site is filled with trash along the walkway, minimal sun shade, smell of marijuana at night, construction is visible from campsite, fire wouldn’t have been allowed even without the current fire ban and the listing wasn’t updated stating so.
Suggestions: If hiking down to the river, bring trekking poles or find a good hiking stick. It is bouldering the majority of the time and very difficult but well worth it!
