Campfire Ranch was perfect for us. My friend and I hadn't been camping in years and we're anxious about what to expect. CFR provided the PERFECT amount of privacy, care, amenities and adventure to get us off on the right foot.
Wildlife was abundant. There were plenty of locally accessible activities like horseback riding, rafting and sunset nature walks. Fishing and rock climbing. We really could have stayed for another 4-5 days.
Fire wood wasnot only free but already stacked at our site. The tent pad was level and flat, and truely, you can't beat the sound of an active river with the most vivid stars overhead.
Coffee was delicious! Sam and his team are dedicated to sustainable resources and I HIGHLY recommend you ask him for his story!!
10/10 for campers and city folk with pets and families looking for a break!!

Thanks Sam and Jim. I can't wait to stay again!

If you have one of the campsites furthest from the parking lot pack smart so you don't have to make 100 trips to the car.

My husband and I have been married for almost 12 years and have talked about camping for well, our entire time together. We finally decided to do it before our move out of the country. After hours of searching I was able to find this hidden gem of a place and it was an absolute great experience. The location was perfect. I wanted a place that provided some shade and privacy and this place hit it spot on. Sam lives on the property and is available to help you with anything you might need. Of course we realized we forgot items once there and we were able to rent them out for a very decent price through the office on site. Not only that but the items provided are good quality. We must of been at his office a dozen times with items needed or questions about the area and where to venture off too. Sam is very knowledgeable about the area which is another perk. This place has a very clean bathroom area. Nothing like what I was use to camping as a kid ha. I was very impressed. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to camp. The river is nearby and is relaxing to listen to. The only downside is not drive up parking. We bought a collapsible wagon at Walmart which was a lifesaver since we like the spots a little farther away. If you end up forgetting something or needing anything Sam probably has your back as he did ours. He is a very nice person to be around and that also makes the experience better. One more note- the spring water that is available here is so tasty! I was impressed. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be that great but it definitely was! We have already booked another trip here with our kids.

Campfire Ranch was gorgeous!! Set on a curved valley road between two towering cliffs right on the Taylor River. The sites were clean and easy to access, there was a flat pad for tents, two fire pits with one with a grate for cooking, firewood was free and wheelbarrows were supplied, decent Verizon cell service, cleanest campground bathroom in history cleaned daily, and a hand well pump with the freshest mountain spring water. Sam was extremely helpful in guiding us to different day hikes and loaned us out a waterproof map, recommended top notch food joints in CB and was overall a nice guy always making sure everyone had what they needed to enjoy their camp. 10/10 recommend!!

Campfire ranch is awesome. Sam is welcoming and a great guide for the endless activities in the area.

Everything was super clean and well kept. Unlimited firewood is an absolute gamechanger. We would absolutely recommend campfire ranch.

The site was great, very accommodating, had everything we needed (free firewood and water plus a bucket and shovel, 2 fire pits, one with a grill for cooking plus a picnic table). Sam was personable and nice, but professional. Sites and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. View was beautiful. Other guests were quiet. Only downside is the proximity to the highway and other sites, so if you’re looking for a very remote/private site, this may not be it.

Sam was very friendly and checked in on us daily. He had lots of great ideas for close by trips, we definitely plan on coming back! My biggest regret was not buying a T-shirt !

Campfire Ranch was a phenomenal camping experience! Sam was a wonderful host and helped give us some great insight on nearby activities. We had spot 10 which gave us great proximity to our truck, the firewood, and the restrooms. The facilitates were nice and clean. The well water was amazing, and the free firewood was a huge bonus as we would have had to purchase several bundles at other campgrounds.
