This is one of our smaller campsites with a stunning star gazing and sunrise view. It will accommodate up to a 2 person tent. If you are camping with friends Dill and Tyme are in the vicinity to offer a group setting yet still offering some privacy. Here at Sage View Ranch, you'll find that each campsite has its own charm whether it be in the midst of sage, elm trees or tucked among the juniper trees. We have a year-round outdoor compost outhouse and a seasonal outdoor shower (as of 8/24/20 shower is off for the season) with a view. When the shower isn’t available here there is one available at the local Ultra Mat in Hotchkiss which is located by a FANTASTIC BBQ restaurant called Zack’s. Walk the property, enjoy the mountain views, smell the sage, meet the goats, say hello to the free-range chickens sit by the pond (during season), have an evening fire in the community fire pit, and sit with your favorite beverage and appreciate the sunset. This 11.5-acre rustic ranch offers the feel of being out in the country yet you can walk next door for coffee, breakfast, and wine tasting. Walk, bike or drive less than 1 mile and you are in the center of Paonia where you can enjoy a farm to table restaurants, local breweries, art, maybe a movie or musical at the theater (build in 1928), maybe enjoy one of the many local fun festivities. For nature enthusiasts rent a paddleboard, raft or kayak and ride a local waterway, visit the Grand Mesa, Needle rock, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Blue Mesa reservoir, Colorado National Monument, Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area and so much more! We are in the center of so many wonderful day adventures such as a drive to Aspen, Telluride, Moab, or take Kebler pass to Crested Butte and after all the sightseeing you may want to visit the hot spring of your choice. Most importantly we invite you to Experience the View!

Sage View Ranch was amazing! We loved our stay there and wished we would have had more time. Everything is well-marked, the campsites are flat & the stargazing is amazing. We'll be back for sure!

My camping experience at Sage View was fantastic- I actually stayed at Ginger, not Mint. Ginger was close to my car so I didn't have to haul my gear very far : )
The sites are all dispersed throughout the acreage and very private. There are trails throughout with solar lights along the paths.
There is a port-o-let and a compose toilet. While their aren't any showers, you could bring a sunshower- issue solved!
This is a great option in Paonia- wineries are everywhere, and you can easily walk/bike into town if you didn't want to drive. One night isn't enough.
Laurie & Scott provide a very welcoming vibe and will make great suggestions on what to do in the area.
I got decent cell reception with T-Mobile.
Highly recommend Sage View!

Mint is surrounded by sage bushes and has the best view on the property. 1 Tent can fit comfortably. Its a short uphill walk to the parking spots, but very well marked. Full access to everything Sage View Ranch has to offer!
