Gem of colorado
Beautiful site - although be prepared to get little dusty due to close route 20 heading to busy ATV trails- Engineer Pass, Silverton, Ouray and Cinnamon Pass. Creek across the road, 360 views every minute
Definitely going back for sure
We had an amazing time lots of wildlife and hummingbirds took some really cool pictures trails were absolutely fun don’t forget to stop at the restaurant smoky barbecue and pick up some lunch..
Beautiful remote location!
This spot is incredible. It's definitely super remote, and I would recommend having a vehicle with high clearance. I have a prius and made it up there, but it was a little sketchy at times. There's a fire pit and large open field to camp on with a river nearby. It's super quiet and the stars and sunsets and everything are AMAZING. Would highly recommend!!!
Bring your 4x4, perfect for groups!
This spot was incredible. Not only are the views some of the best at any of the campsites I've been too, but the access to Engineer Pass was unbeatable. If you're bringing any 4x4 toys, this spot is what you want. We loved watching all of the different offroad vehicles coming through.
Lots of flat area to camp, had a provided fire pit, and you can hear the river from across the road. Saw multiple deer.
Our only feedback was that there was only one small sign on a rock in the middle of the field that identified the site and had multiple people either driving onto the property or asking if it was public camping. No big deal though, this site is saved in our favorites and we will absolutely be coming back soon.
