About Rifle Gap State Park

Located about 200 miles west of Denver, Rifle Gap State Park’s leading lady is its immaculate 350-acre reservoir that hosts some of the best water activities anywhere in the Centennial State.

Anglers routinely catch bass, pike, trout, yellow perch and walleye on the waters, which can even be used for ice fishing in the winter months. Swimmers prefer the beach on the west side of the reservoir. Most campsites are located just north of the reservoir and open-year round. The park is just 40 miles from Glenwood Springs’ famous hot springs and 80 miles from the Grand Mesa National Forest.
