Patricia and Dean were such lovely hosts, as were their sweet dogs Hank and Bobo! We were so impressed by how hard Dean had worked to get the site ready for campers, and it is absolutely beautiful. The river area is so much fun to explore, and provides an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. Patricia was kind enough to spend some time telling us about the interesting history of the property and allowed us to spend the morning enjoying the sunshine and the water without any pressure to leave. We had pretty low expectations for a booked last-minute camping trip on a holiday weekend, and could not have been happier with the wonderful experience we ended up having. I would highly recommend this site to anyone, and we hope to come back sometime! Thank you again, Patricia and Dean, for having us!

We never found this place and Patricia was not helpful at all! This was a scam for sure!

Response from Patricia, the Host, on May 25th, 2020

Hi Carter, I’m so sorry you did not find us. I sent several replies with the directions to your requests for help, but it doesn’t appear that you received them. The cell service in this area is spotty at best, but my phone indicates the messages were sent, and I thought the information was sent to you. Freedom Gulch definitely is NOT a scam, and I invite you to a free night of camping. I have refunded your payment, and offer my sincere apology.

Patricia’s place is amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Rocky Mountain National Park! Our site was secluded, the property was gorgeous, and the location is great for exploring the many attractions in the area. Patricia was very welcoming and kind to talk to, and her two dogs were great to play with.

What a wonderful little spot! Patricia has beautiful well maintained Sites! Right by a stream and felt nicely isolated. Porta potty was the cleanest one I have ever seen. Would go back again in a heartbeat!

Hi Ted, I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. Your little boys reminded me of my grandchildren playing by the river, I really enjoyed watching them explore and discover! I hope you will camp with us again! Patricia

A great place to stay with Or without kids. Lots of boulders to climb and streams to cross with tree trunk bridges for more fun.
