Our tipis are beautifully appointed with high-end, one-of-a-kind furnishings such as antique stamped-leather arm chairs, authentic native American rugs and blankets and even the original storage chest from the movie set of “Crocodile Dundee”. Guests are sure to enjoy a luxurious yet rustic experience with premium bedding, Brazilian cowhide rugs and soft, Australian sheepskin furs.

The 18 ft tipis offer 262 sqft of space and is equipped with a queen bed, sitting area, chest of drawers, luggage racks, battery or solar-lighting and lots of fur. Each tipi campsite includes a propane-powered grill and grilling tools, outdoor teak dining area, and a secure food and toiletries storage container. Heating elements are also available inside each structure to help keep them warm at night. 

For our guests we offer a large community area where friends and family can gather to play, share memories or roast marshmallows around a large wood-burning fire pit or in the event of a fire ban, any one of the large gas fire pits. Shower under the stars in our outdoor cedar showers or adventure into a truly one-of-a-kind toilet facility. We promise you WILL take pictures. Parking and transport to your campsite is complimentary as well as our nightly trash pick-up service.

Located in the remote Colorado wilderness, surrounded by untouched National Forest land, Bison Peak Lodge at Puma Hills offers guests a truly memorable camping experience. Spend the night in one of our many unique accommodations, from beautifully designed and hand-painted Tipis to our transparent Bubble Tents providing an uninhibited 360 degree view both the forest and night sky. With plenty to see and do in the local area including hiking trails, the Tarryall Reservoir (10 minute drive), and various tours hosted through our partnered tour operators, there is a new adventure waiting for you with each visit. 

The property is conveniently located in the heart of the state, no more than a two hours drive from major destinations including Vail, Denver, Breckenridge, and Colorado Springs. Whether traveling for a weekend trip or planning a wedding with family, we are sure to offer a package to accommodate your needs.

Guests can enjoy exploring and adventuring in the Tarryall area through a wide range of activities. On site, patrons can take advantage of our on-site marked hiking trails, entertainment facilities, sporting equipment and lawn games such as cornhole, horseshoes, badminton, wiffle ball, giant chess, volleyball, giant jenga, kadima, playing cards, lawn bowling, and Kan Jam. Guests may also wish to visit our communal fire pits, which provide the perfect place for enjoying S’mores and socializing with other campers.

Free parking is also available on-site with complimentary transport to each accommodation unit.

Bison Peak Lodge at Puma Hills is also a smoke-free property.
