Perfect spot for primitive car-side tent camping in the Durango area. Close to town but set in a secluded lakeside setting with mountain views, wildlife, and recreation opportunities.
Jamie was friendly and informative and made herself available if any issues arose. None did, it was a peaceful evening under dark skies

Had a great time. The campsite is secluded so you feel like you’re alone, but if you should need anything the hosts are helpful and just a phone call away. Awesome views of the lake, great for sunset.

Jamie's property was perfect for us and we are so glad we stayed there. We were only there for one night but it was easy to get to, close to town and really beautiful. We watched a beautiful sunset, checked out the stars and had a great night sleep. We didn't use the lake but saw people paddleboarding and kayaking. The site was private and protected by a nice stand of pine trees.

Beautiful area! Plenty of space for our family of 4. Cody met us at the site and was super welcoming and helpful! Would definitely recommend this site!

I loved staying here! Nice and secluded. The host is very helpful. However, there was horse poop all over the place which made it difficult to walk around and towards the lake.

This site was perfect! It felt secluded but it's set among houses (that you can't see) so it feels safe. It was the perfect combination for me - a female traveling alone and passing through - the sit is peaceful and beautiful

It was so beautiful and serene there!!! My whole family had the best time, we will definitely go back again! Our first time with hip camp but definitely not the last!! Cody and Jaimie you are the best🔥

Awesome site! This site is a beautiful location and very easy to access. The hosts were extremely accommodating and communicative the entire time- super friendly. We loved the access to the lake and serenity of being secluded. The views of the mountains were amazing. Good trees provide some shade and fire pit had cool stumps around it.
We liked that it was really close to town to do our activities there but once you enter the camp site area you completely forget there’s a town nearby.
We highly recommend this spot!

Jamie's place was beautiful with great views of the mountains, deer passing by, geese honking on the lake. Our host greeted us and was very friendly and informative. The site was indeed primitive and it was our first experience with a "luggable loo". But there were no RV's in sight with all night generators next door. Very peaceful with the exception of the highway noise which was less than a mile away.

Lakeside Camping, Mountain Views!
What a great spot! Directions were easy to follow, which was good because we had no service on Hwy 160 coming from the west (plenty of reception at the spot). The hosts met us at the spot and was super friendly.
The views were breathtaking, the spot was quite, and plenty of room for the kids to roam. They tried their hand at fishing the lake and played hide and seek amongst the grasses and pine trees. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!
