Park your RV in our sites in an old orchard with red rock cliffs and ancient Anasazi ruins just a few feet away. Our back yard is the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument with miles of hiking trails. Enjoy a glass a glass of local wine or a frosty beer while gazing at majestic Sleeping Ute Mountain. Descend into a fully restored kiva and imagine what life was like a thousand years ago in McElmo Canyon. We are located midway between Mesa Verde National Park and Hovenweep National Monument in the Four Corners.
We are in a narrow canyon and desert, so this means that we are almost always under a county-wide fire ban. We do not have fire pits or allow ground fires. We do provide charcoal grills at each site.
Currently we serving a hot breakfast for all visitors.

Very cool
Site for my RV. Breakfast the next day was awesome. A bit
Pricey for camping but
There is a lot to see.
The site was in a beautiful setting and check in was fine, but the place was literally overrun with ants. And not like the kind of ants you expect anywhere and that come with the territory of being outdoors, but ant mounds and huge ants all over the property and enormous ant hills all around all of the RV spots. We went to see if a different spot was any better and another guest in her RV said that it was also terrible. It was truly intolerable and we were afraid our 19 month old son was going to step on a hill, so we left and boondocked nearby.
The property was beautiful. We arrived late and left early, but took the time to hike along their trails - absolutely stunning views and incredible history. The property was well kept. The hookups worked well. We would definitely return and stay longer next time.
One of the best and most interesting hipcamps we’ve stayed at so far! Beautiful property, multiple Anasazi ruins to check out within a short walk, super friendly and informative hosts. Site was great, very quiet and safe, tucked away in a small canyon. Super clean facilities and a terrific home made breakfast.
Wow! We saw the most beautiful “golden hour” as the sun set and did the ancient people’s trail. Better than a museum! And great breakfast, thank you.

It's amazing that there's a place that's so comfortable to stay in and still has ancient ruins to explore. The hikes are breathtaking and remarkably close to the camping area. I saw a family of quail for the first time. They were adorable.

Ants are everywhere. If you don't see many of them in one spot or another then consider that someone might be using a toxic chemical or spray to get rid of them. We have so far resisted this as some children play in the sand/dirt. Sorry you had a battle with them, you arrived late in the day and they are out then, during the mid-part of the day they are gone back underground. We don't really have big mounds, rather just a few circles of stuff ants push out. You didn't say anything about your issue and just left, we have spays for ants, wasps and other pests that can be dispensed to help the issue. Sorry you didn't bring this up or ask for help?
