Welcome to a unique spot off the beaten path with access to all the best outdoor activities Colorado has to offer and to top it all off, you can camp or hammock right next to our new little coffee shop ‘The Left Hand Stand‘ at the corner of our property! As you can see from the map, this location is not deep in the woods and is near a main road, but it’s central location to everything these beautiful mountains has to offer makes it worth it, we like to think. This particular spot is located behind our home and is easy to see as the hammocks themselves are quite bright! Bring your own or use ours either way!

Brainard Lake is mere minutes away and Nederland or Estes Park in opposite directions about half an hour from here and Boulder is only about 45 minutes away too!

If you have any questions about anything at all, please feel free to ask!

We offer a fire pit in our backyard (for the times when a fire ban isn’t in effect) and you’re welcome to use our bathroom for now but soon we’ll have a porta-potty near the coffee shop so please don’t use the woods! And always pack out your own trash! We have a washer/dryer that you’re welcome to as well but we do ask for an extra small fee for their use. If you’d like a shower, we also ask a small fee for it’s use as well. Please pre-purchase these amenities at the time of your booking. We also accept Venmo/PayPal should you decide to purchase this service during your stay.

We’re always happy to share our local knowledge for the best spots to hike, bike, climb, or fish so pick our brains if you want and grab a coffee and a pastry from The Left Hand Stand before you head out for the day too!

We look forward to hosting you!

I was hoping for a quiet place to stay in the woods; it was much closer to a noisy town than I expected, right by the main road. To be fair, it was the 4th of July, but still was not the quiet retreat I was hoping for.

There are two tent sites at this hip camp, but honestly there should only be one. The second is on a hill and isn’t maintained at all. The first is really nice and perfect for a small group. You are definitely in their back yard, not much is separating you from the house which isn’t a problem but it’s not common for hipcamp. The host was very nice and has a cute little coffee shop, maybe just a few adjustments to the second tent site. Also heads up you are right on the highway so if your are a light sleeper bring earbuds.

Hi Chloe, Thanks for your review. We’re sorry you didn’t enjoy yourself as much as we hoped you might! We actually have several sites here at our location so it seems like you might not have gotten the full tour of the property and/or there were multiple other folks here and/or you arrived late and thus we saved the spot most accessible for you. Either way, we’re glad you were able to enjoy the coffee shop at the very least and we hope you will take good care wherever life leads you! Cheers~
