Description

Popular with anglers for its easy fishing access and scenic location, Deer Lakes Campground is a high elevation site with predominantly aspen trees. Hikers, backpackers and equestrians enjoy trails in the La Garita (southeast of camp) and Powderhorn Wilderness Areas (northeast of camp). Nearby Lake City has a historic district where many of the boom town’s mining era buildings have been restored.
