We are located in the beautiful Mancos Valley in southwest Colorado. We are a working farm that produces organic vegetables, fruit, eggs, milk, and meat. Located on 72 acres with a perennial creek, there is plenty of hiking and exploring opportunities on the property. Mesa Verde, 4 Corners Monument, and Durango are all a short drive from camp. Camping is along Chicken Creek, or wherever you find comfort. We have lots of trails and pinyon juniper forest on our property, as well as a sizable hill to climb for the best views of the area.

The vibe at Colorado Mountain Valley Farm

We were blown away by this property! Not only are the hosts super nice and welcoming, but they have a ton of land that can be used for camping! We ended up parking our van down the meadow towards the creek. The meadow we drove through was so spacious and can hold vans and RV's very comfortably. Then on the other side of the creek there is plenty of room to tent camp. You can set up camp right next to the creek or up another level right next to the 3 fire pits. They have a beautiful barn right next to the fire pits that they just build last year. The host encouraged us to hike around the property and check out his farm, which consists of pigs, goats and chickens! We ended up hiking to the top of the property which had amazing views of the land, his farm and the surrounding mountains. We honestly felt like we hit the jackpot finding this location! And at night we built a fire and enjoyed all the lights that were strung from the trees and across the creek. We felt like we were at a romantic getaway. We will for sure be back and recommend this property to all of our friends!
Camping at Colorado Mountain Valley Farm was easy and beautiful, and I'm sorry I did not get to stay longer! Tyler was friendly and accommodating, and it was great to support the local agriculture even in this little way. I'd recommend this place as a great basecamp for your San Juan adventures or even as a local Mancos escape.
Colorado Mountain Valley Farm camping is very convenient for nearby attractions. Tyler has provided solar lighting to help on night time journies to the bathroom which includes composting toilets and a sink. There is highway noise but it is balanced out by the trickle of the stream you can sleep near!
This little cabin in the woods soared above and beyond our expectations. After a long days drive it was so relaxing coming in to a lit fire and the porch lights on. 10/10 would recommend and 10/10 would visit again. Quite the experience.
It's your basic farm field, next to a nice creek, w/flat spots for tent or trailer. Nice little bridge across the creek, probably nice in summertime. Close to village of Mancos for coffee, etc., but fairly quiet location. Our first hipcamp experience. Liked it.
