My friend and I (and our pups) had a lovely stay at Gould Getaway! The camper is tucked away in the woods behind a private gate off a county road so you definitely feel secluded. This area of Colorado is beautiful and there is plenty to explore! Even just walking around the property with our coffee in the morning was quite enjoyable with mountain views in every direction. Our dogs equally had a great time! Jenifer asked that they remain leashed on her land due to wildlife and livestock which was no problem at all as there was plenty of space to walk them around. The camper is very cozy and has all of the essentials you'll need. There is a picnic table outside that was great for meal prep and enjoying some wine in the great outdoors. Jenifer was a wonderful host! She met us shortly after arriving and walked us through how to use the electricity, water, heat, etc. in the camper. She was very helpful with providing suggestions on what to do in the area. She also wrote a book of poetry while rafting down the Grand Canyon which she was gracious enough to share with us - a wonderful writer! I would definitely suggest staying at Gould Getaway. I certainly hope to return one day!
Gould Getaway was everything we hoped for and more! The camper is impeccably clean and cozy. You're surrounded by tall trees and parked next to a cool, abandoned cabin that Jenifer's husband moved! Jenifer was a great host, and ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her orientation page helped us navigate the camper and its functions. If you're looking to get away from all the hub-bub of phones and people, spend a couple of nights at Gould Getaway. You'll love every minute!
Beautiful land and people. Off grid trailer means nothing that plugs in. Which was very nice to unplug but the posting says no appliances so.... this includes all plug ins. Bed was a little tight for two people. Minimal ammenties. Stove works and you have hot water for shower and kitchen sink. Saw wildlife and felt safe.
What an amazing experience! Gould Gateway is located perfectly for all those that are looking to get away and disconnect for some time! The site was beautiful and the camper was clean and cozy! Thanks Jenifer, can’t wait to come back!
My husband and I and our two dogs had a great time at Gould Getaway. It is secluded but close enough to great hiking- and the drive to Walden and the Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge is great and not far at all. We appreciated the stocked kitchen and were able to use the stove/oven with ease. The water gets nice and hot so showers after a long hike were pleasant. The bed is definitely a squeeze but doable for a couple of nights sleep. Only complaint is that we felt the bedding was a little worn.
