Rio Grande Gorge/Ute Mountain Run Mile 6 Camp
This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever camped. Hands down an experience that I would never forget and one of the amazing landscapes to enjoy. The only downside is that the airstream is not critter proof. We woke up at 2 in the morning with the biggest rat I have ever seen in my entire life on top of our sleeping bag. Needless to say we had to move back to our vehicle to sleep. But at the end of the day I hope to visit this place again, next time I bring a cot ; )

Rio Grande Gorge/Ute Mountain Run Mile 6 Camp
It’s hard to beat the unique beauty of the Gorge. The airstream was simple, fit a sleeping pad, and served its purpose. But you don’t stay for the luxurious digs, you stay here to enjoy one of the most awesome landscapes you could ever wake up next to. Only two pointers...watch for cactus, and be careful on the climb down to the river; it can get a little intense!

We loved the little airstream on the gorge. Travis gave us all the info needed and made sure we had a great time. The views were beautiful as well as the trailer and shed by the river. We will definitely be coming back!

Very neat location! I’d recommend having a truck or SUV to get here. Pristine scenery and nice accommodations. Travis did a good job of communicating and providing information. I’ll definitely be coming back to this location!

Rio Grande Gorge/Ute Mountain Run Mile 6 Camp
I cannot explain how beautiful this place is. The Airstream sits on the edge of the Rio Grande Gorge and it is so pretty. The views are amazing. However, you should definitely WEAR BOOTS to this location. There isn't really a trail from where you park your car to the airstream, and the area is completely overgrown with some gnarly cactus. I arrived in Chacos and quickly had to change to my trail runners for more protection, but it would have been even better if I had brought boots! The airstream is basically a shell, nothing too fancy on the inside. We set up our sleeping pads and sleeping bags inside and slept amazing! The way down to the boat shed requires a bit of route finding, scrambling, and climbing down some ladders that seem a little unsecured. If you're camping in the boat shed, no need to bring a bunch of gear because its all provided there, hammocks, cots, sleeping bags, lanterns, everything! This place is super unique and gorgeous.
