What a fantastic spot! I’ve spent time in some of the most beautiful places around the world...the combination of the physical setting, gorgeous/tasteful construction, and hospitality made this one of the best trips I’ve had EVER.
Setting: the property is an elevated 50 acre parcel with some of the most gorgeous vistas I’ve seen. Rolling green hills, incredible sunsets, and pure silence. Sitting on the cabin porch with complete privacy while watching the sunset over the rolling hills was just what I needed...felt a million miles away from reality.
Cabins: The cabins are brand new in ‘20 and have been built to suit legitimate 5 star taste and quality. Little details like recessed lighting on dimmers, real wood floors, gorgeous antiques And original art, river rock showers, high end toiletries....the list goes on and on.
Hospitality: The host didn’t leave anything out. I mentioned that I did yoga and there was a mat and a meditation pillow in my room upon arrival. The local recommendations made the trip. Great food suggestions, some of the best hikes ever, and even home made cookies!

I’ve already booked my return. Wish I could keep this place a secret :)

Our group of 6 loved this place. Total luxury and away from it all. Had great times by the campfire, dinners outside in the historic barn, acres to explore and only 10 minutes from the center of town. AC and fans in every cabin was a life saver. 5 star review, we couldn’t have enjoyed any more. Felt like we had our own luxury compound. Special experience for our family.

True luxury. Our favorite spot to watch the sunset on the cabin porch. The “sheep wagon”. We loved it!

This was my first visit to Hawk's Rest and my first time using Hipcamp. Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The place is beautiful and secluded, with 360 degree views. The cabins and bathrooms were spotless, and the host thought of everything! We had s'more kits, fire wood, coffee for the morning, wine glasses, and even homemade cookies upon arrival. Our host was very communicative and accommodating when we let her know we'd be arriving late. We loved that the place was dog-friendly as well, our puppy loved running around in the tall grass! There are other dogs on property, which was great for ours, but just a heads up for others that may be looking to bring their pup. We already can't wait to be back!! What an amazing escape!

I had a wonderful time here, and the breathtaking views were just the cherry on top. Directions were easy and the host was very accommodating and informative. There were delicious homemade cookies when I arrived and the place was spotless. Firewood was readily available and the rooms came equipped with a s’mores kit, coffee and wine glasses.

The area is a short distance from town and very easy to navigate. I would highly recommend getting out into the mountains while visiting but if you are not an avid hiker, the views at the site are unmatched. Currently, Steamboat does have restaurants open with outdoor seating.

It was a calming retreat, and made me feel at ease. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I highly recommend glamp at the boat for anyone who needs a wonderful mountain getaway.

Beautiful scenery! Cabin was so charming, the sight exceeded my expectations! Leslie was a great host, very attentive and helpful. Perfect set up, I rocked this trip solo with my dog, who enjoyed playtime with the ranch dogs - who may I mention were ALSO very charming! Yoga mat, s’mores, firewood, and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Worth every penny!

Leslie and her family have created a living tribute to the American West. We were sitting on the porch, watching the sun come up, and admiring her painted ponies galloping up the ridge.

We were looking for a getaway, a place to unwind and get away from the feeling of quarantine. Boy, did we find it here at Hawks Rest, a collection of tiny houses that really put the glam in glamping.

I especially liked the common dining area, the frame of an old southern house transplanted here and decorated with Edison lights. What a great backdrop to our campfire.

I can't think of a better place to experience the West as it should be than Hawks Rest.

You don't get more West than this!

We loved the cabins and the location is prime! Cabins/campsite had all the accommodations we needed and very clean! The beds were extremely comfortable too! We had a wonderful time, and so relaxing. Our host was quick to answer our questions and gave us recommendations for some of the most amazing hiking trails. We enjoyed the firepit & can’t wait to return! This place is a gem!!!
