Dreamweaver’s Sanctuary is an evolving artist collaborative project and homestead that focuses on sustainability, creativity, spiritual growth, with mindful community values. We host events and workshops, prepare meals, and we are now offering Usui-Tibetan/Holy Fire and Crystal Reiki for those looking to balance and replenish the Mind, Body and Soul. Expect surprises as we are always incorporating new and fun ideas to enhance your experience and bring unity to the locals of Crestone. In addition to this project, we invite you to join us for Hip Camp. Rustic Camping in Crestone, Colorado with the most majestic views. About the land: Imagine setting up camp in the high desert of Colorado, resting in the quiet of nature, and awakening to birds singing to you as you lay nestled in an ancient Cottonwood Grove. Next you open your eyes to the Majestic Sangre de Cristo Mountains, overlooking the Great Sand Dunes. Enjoy a fresh and power packed smoothie to break your overnight fast or join us in our off-grid rustic zen community kitchen and prepare what you so choose. Find yourself a comfortable spot and spend some time in meditation or join others in our Meditation Tent, engage in a peaceful and mindful conversation with other campers, enjoy a garden walk or book a Crystal or Holy Fire Reiki Session. Did we mention the sunsets!? In the evening stargazing is a favorite, as Crestone is a Dark Sky Community. And all of that is just here at the sanctuary! Venture out and find hiking trails, take a short drive and enjoy your day at the sand dunes, enjoy local Hot Springs or visit one of Crestone’s many spiritual centers or temples. While we hope you will choose to stay with us, keep in mind that this is a family friendly environment and we welcome pets. Note that we are 4:20 friendly, but kindly discourage the use of non-recreational substances and the misuse of alcohol on the premises. We have outdoor solar shower amenities and composting toilets and outhouses. There is a water and tea station available. Wifi is available but only near our Tech Deck. We look forward to welcoming you to Crestone!

Jodi was most generous to share her harvest with us. She met us on arrival. Camp is quaintly rustic with outhouse and caretaker shack among a very old Willow grove. No defined spaces, so pick your view. Water is hose at house next door. Would visit again.

Beautiful views, rough site
Jodi was very nice and I enjoyed talking with her. The view from where I set up my tent was spectacular. As a camping site, however, it was less than ideal. No designated sites meant pitching a tent among cactus and sage brush. There were other tent campers pretty close by, so it wasn't at all private. There's definitely not a kitchen, and the pit toilet needed some TLC. The mosquitos were horrible and a neighbor's dogs barked all night long (I heard them through ear plugs) -- which isn't this site's fault, but things a camper should be aware of. I've seen off the grid camp sites done well, but this was not one of them.

Nice evening light! Rustic
We had a nice stay at the ancient grove. The campsite is behind Jodi’s home. There is a large fire ring that we were able to use since the risk was low. Another camper was within about 30yards of us but she was great and we enjoyed her company at the fire. The bathroom is a seat and a bucket underneath, all of which is enclosed by walls made of reeds. During our stay, Jodi had someone come out to clean up some of the debris that was nearby the campsite. There wasn’t any water right near the campsite and we did not use the shower or community kitchen as these were a ways from the campsite. The evening light is gorgeous around the ancient grove and we went for a nice walk. Unfortunately one of the neighbors has dogs that would not stop barking all night long which put a damper on our stay. We came to the area to visit the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The dunes are visible from the ancient grove and pretty close as the crow flies. It takes about an hour by car to get there.
