Farmland west of Berthoud, Colorado. Mostly fields. Some trees around house and by ditches. Beautiful views of Longs Peak and the Rocky Mountains. 10 minute drive to Carter Lake. 45 minute drive to Estes Park. Our home is completely off the grid, so there is no extra power or water, but we can provide 3-6 gallons of filtered drinking water if requested in advance. Tents are welcome, as well as smaller RVs, pickups, vans, and cars. Rustic. Call ahead for weather conditions.

We are limited to three basic campsite locations, but if you just need a place to park your RV for the night and be on your way in the morning, we may be able to accommodate you even if the regular campsites are filled. Just send me a message.

Site #1 is only for tent campers. It is a secluded spot with a bench and a picnic table, but you need to park near the house and walk 200 feet to the site.

Site #2 is on the edge of a hay field. It has a picnic table. It can accommodate vehicles or tents.

Site #3 is on the far west edge of the hay field. No picnic table there. Ideal for a larger trailer.

Sandra was very nice and helpful. The site is next to the Corn field and has a nice view on the mountains. It was very simple but very practical for us since it’s 30min away from Boulder, Fort Collins and 40min from Estes Park.

It was good for what we needed. We are good with dry camping so the open feild was good. Really no privacy where we were but plenty of room to spread out. Sandra was very helpful and accommodating. Let us stay as long as we needed. It did have great mountain views.

Smoke made the mountains hazy, otherwise good views.

We needed a spot last minute on a busy September Friday. Sandra communicated quickly with our options before we committed. Sandra met us when we arrived & offered us a couple places to park. We had a great spot on the farm with plenty of privacy.

This was our first time using HipCamp and we couldn’t have started with a better campsite! Sandra provided a nice, comfortable, and safe spot on her land. Great view of the mountains! Close enough to town that you’ll be able to get whatever you need but far enough away that you don’t hear much traffic or anything. Only about 45 minutes to an hour from the mountains. After a days drive from Ohio we couldn’t have felt more comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone

The property is beautifully situated in front of the Rocky Mountains. Gorgeous views from the campsite, especially at sunrise. No toilets, but a luggable loo was offered upon arrival. A great place to stay on your way to a handful of national parks!

This was our first stay with Hipcamp and it was everything we had hoped it would be. Private and remote setting, but Sandra was on site, available, and responsive if we needed anything. Beautiful view of the mountains in the distance. Incredible sunrises and sunsets. Downtown Berthoud is a sweet little downtown area with everything you would need. Would absolutely come again.
