Our little family farm is just outside Colorado Springs but feels like it's way out in the country. This land and our farmhouse has been a homestead since 1895. The campground is in a meadow with native grass and wildflowers surrounded by Ponderosa, Pine, Pinon, Spruce, Juniper, Elms, Oaks, Aspen and more! There is a small fruit orchard nearby that grows apples, peaches, nectarines and plums. We have free range chickens that wander the land and mini donkeys, Scottish Highland Cattle, and sheep that roam most of it (but not the camp ground). The east looks out across the beautiful plains of Colorado's Front Range and offers amazing sunrises. On the west we are right up against the Rocky Mountains so the sun sets a little earlier (more time for a campfire). We're 5 minutes from Cheyenne Mountain State Park and only 8 minutes from town. Fort Carson is directly across the highway and has numerous entrances nearby. The historic Juniper Valley Dining Room is only five minutes south and there is a Safeway, Super Walmart, and Sam's Club as well as many local eateries/breweries just a ten minute drive north. Great hiking and sightseeing at Seven Falls, Cheyenne Canyon, Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. So much to see and do here!

Host was very nice. The listing is a little misleading. It's really only one small field to camp in that's pretty rocky not really a "Meadow" with flowers and trees. Has a nice view and reasonable distance from town. Outhouse is a bucket and a trash bag. Would probably not stay here again but is a decent choice if on a budget with limited options
Stellar views, kind hosts, chickens
Farmer Lance is an awesome host! He generously gave us fresh eggs from his chickens and a tour of his farm (which my 3 year old LOVED). He kindly shared info about his land and the local area. Communication with Lance was stellar. The site is gorgeous. We look forward to seeing him achieve his big ideas to make this one of the best hipcamp sites around!

Mo's farm was a great spot for our family camping trip. The kids loved the farm tour and meeting their animals (including donkeys, baby lambs, cows and chickens). We appreciated the "white glove" experience Mo delivered, including outfitting our group with brand-new picnic tables and sharing fresh eggs on our first morning. It sounds like Mo has exciting plans to expand the experience for future campers, too! The only downsides to this site is the proximity to the Olympic shooting range and highway which offered some unexpected background noise.

This place was fantastic! Mo is a great host! He and his property are accommodating. Close to hiking, activities, and town. He welcomed us to his property by showing us his farm, giving fresh eggs, and homemade beef/lamb jalapeño sticks. He had other meat products for sale if you’re interested. He gave us our privacy, but also checked in with us occasionally to make sure we were all set. Very clean outhouse and campsites! We will definitely be coming back 😊

Glad you enjoyed it here, we work hard to make it nice and are improving every day!
Our campsite had everything we needed and was very well taken care of. We felt welcome and at home. Mo was an excellent host who truly cares about his guests.

Mo is the best host I've ever had at any campground any Airbnb or cabin or park anywhere period. It's a great place to stay already and he is routinely improving upon it. Good place to camp with a family while you feel out the area or go on day hiking excursions. I'll stay here again.

This was a really chill place not far from Colorado Springs and Garden of the Gods. Mo and his wife are super nice and they got a lovely farm and all. Great experience.
I liked the spot on the grounds I found, but my family were on a bit of a slope. Worked out cause getting up to adjust meant looking up at the stars (perfect Milky Way viewing here). It was hella windy when we were there and the tents stayed put, so nice ground to camp at. Lots of wildflowers.
I, also, thought the outhouse was cool. Hand-built. The pulley system that closes the door was delightful to my inner engineer.

Thanks Blue! Hope you guys had a great trip!
We had an awesome time at Mo’s farm! He and his wife were very friendly and took our kids around the farm where they got to meet animals and bottle feed their baby lamb. We bought fresh farm eggs that made the whole experience even better. Looking forward to our next staycation at The Cheyenne Mountain Farm!

You guys are welcome anytime! I'm working on that fishing pond! See you next time.
We absolutely loved this campsite. The hosts were amazing. Offered us fresh farm eggs, lamb and extra firewood for our bonfire which we shared with other campers in the area. The site is gorgeous with wonderful views and lovely grassy fields. Our hosts had a very sweet golden who visited us while hanging outside. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Way better than an RV park.

We really appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed the farm as much as we do!

We are constantly working to make our farm a nice place that people will enjoy. But it is a farm, not a KOA. We have livestock here and can't let people camp in those areas as it obviously wouldn't be safe. The area set aside for camping is over an acre and has many trees as well as open space and some of the best views in this area. We have had a lot of wildflowers this year, several of our other guests have commented on how pretty they were, sorry you missed them. The outhouse "bucket" has been replaced with a camping toilet and we are in the process of installing an 8' x 8' custom built oak bath house with a flushing toilet, sink, and shower as well as 30 amp electric hookups. Not sure what I can do about the rocks, the Rocky Mountains are kinda rocky. Sorry you won't be joining us again, roughing it is not for everybody.
