A very cool and unique venue just outside of Grand Junction but you feel miles away from everything. So beautiful! Chuck was so helpful and really nice. I’ll be back for sure! Awesome views too!

Charles campsite was perfect, about 10 miles from GJ and a beautiful drive to get there. Everything was as described. It was booked a few hours before we arrived. Charles got in touch with us right away and made sure we had everything that we needed. Pretty awesome camping site on a ridge with great views and very close to all the hiking and biking trails of Bangs Canyon. Will definitely stay again.

We brought our two dogs and cat and had a great time. Charles has 30 acres on land near the Colorado National Monument. There are a few mini goats, a gardening area, and lots of open and secluded land. We saw so may stars, and even ended up encountering a coyote and deer over our one night stay. There are some trails through the land that are good for ATVs or mountain biking, and the surrounding area has tons more.

The campsite was perfect. Charles set up a big tent with two cots and a tent outhouse/solar shower. There was also a fire pit, a picnic table, a grill with a bag of charcoal and two reclining camping chairs for our use. Charles also thoughtfully added pavers throughout the campsite so you can walk around without getting super sandy.

Things to note:
-The campsite itself was up a dirt trail that requires a AWD vehicle with ground clearance. Our car did not fill the bill, but Charles was happy to bring us and our things up and down.
-We had our dogs off leash in the day time, but you will need to be careful because of the coyotes. You will hear them calling at night.
- There are little cacti that grow around the area. They can be hard to see, and me/my dogs definitely stepped on a few! They're not dangerous, just a little prickly, but be sure to sturdy shoes if you're sensitive.
- You'll be able to hear some road sounds because there's a single road in the distance.

All in all, we had a wonderful time and would 100% go back! Charles was a kind and helpful host, and I recommend this place to anyone.

Our host, Charles, gave us all a lift up to the camp site! He has a four door truck and lots of trunk space. The picnic tableThe host provided two reclining chairs for us to enjoy the fireThe privacy tent for the bathroom.

Chuck was amazing. We arrived later than expected and struggled a bit with finding the property in the dark.
Chuck was immediately to our assistance. He led us up and helped us get settled.
Beautiful views, close to hiking and other activities. Fun area to explore and we highly recommend

What a great hidden gem! Amazing property and will definitely be back. Chuck was a fantastic host, nice as could be and checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. We loved visiting the potholes that Chuck suggested, nice way to cool off. We will bring shade sails next time. The site does have trees that create shade throughout the day, however, we went when temps hit 100. Way too hot to hang at site entire day and needed to go to rivers, Potholes, lakes - any form of water to cold down. The tent at the property were perfect. Easy in and out without much set up. We met friends coming from Denver as we drove from PC, UT and it as approximately a half way mark for both of us.... we loved staying here! A must stay site!

Enjoying down timeOh - the sunsets! And the pups will have a blast!Cooling off in the Colorado River!

Incredible time at Chuck's place. It also helps that he's laid back and cool.
The property was clean, had a grill, a campfire, a place to shower and do your thing. Beautiful views of the night sky with chairs meant for star gazing and activities are really close by.
Since Chuck is a local, he knew where to point us for some adventures and local eateries.
He took care of anything we needed around the camp and you can tell he knows how to care for people due to his extremely caring nature.

We had our own cooking grill and utensils and was able to wash our supplies in the shower. There was a picnic table and bench perfect for dining, and two very big tents. The sunsets and views of the stars from the rock cliff was an added bonus. I had my Shiba Inu with me and I let her roam around until it started getting dark. It's best to keep your dog on the leash, however, especially if you dont trust your dog.

We loved our stay here.
