In the distance there is glimpse of a state highway and a few houses. Otherwise, it is pretty secluded from the rest of the park. You won't be able to see the RV side of the park from the sites.
This area was inhabited by the ancient Anasazi and Pueblo people. There are ruins and artifacts all throughout this area.

Amazing Camp with Everything You Need
If you are looking for the all around camp ground this is it. Lana made us feel right at home while camping on her site. We had the opportunity to feel secluded in our spot yet still have the luxuries of an indoor shower and mini clubhouse up the road. There is also an outhouse closer to camp that is nicer than most public toilets. Mesa Verde National Park is about a 15 minute drive away and is an awesome park to take a day trip too. There are plenty of other trails to hike and bike in the area as well. Definitely a location and campsite we want to come back to and explore more.

All the conveniences of a private RV campground with the soul of a secluded camp site. We loved Deer site. The compost potty was clean and the clubhouse provided all the amenities we needed on our big summer road trip.
Simple, beautiful, and easy. Plenty of amenities. This was a great stop over on our way to Colorado’s mountain areas.
The campground is incredibly clean and well-cared for. Lana is friendly and took care to make sure tent sites have complete separation from the RV sites. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend Camping in the Mesa.
We had an amazing time camping here! It was conveniently close to the club house but far enough that we felt we were secluded and could enjoy our camp site. The clubhouse was very nice to have access to with clean bathrooms. We will definitely be returning to Colorado and staying here again!
Came in very late and couldn't check in regularly, but the host was extremely accomodating and sent us instructions on how to get to the camp site. Area was quiet, and the toilet was very clean.
