Camp Brandonwood is located in Jefferson, Colorado, halfway between Bailey and Fairplay and just minutes away from fishing at Tarryall Reservoir.

A 90-minute drive from west Denver, this cute camping spot is located about one mile from Hwy 77 and Stagestop Road in a very secluded and quiet neighborhood surrounded by meadows, pine and aspen trees. In addition, the sister cabin "A Little Red Cottage in the Woods" is less than a 5-minute walk if you also have folks in your party who need comfy beds, hot showers and a flush toilet (available June 1 to Oct. 10).

Like all dry camping, you'll need to pack in/out all of your waste. Note, too, that cell phone reception can be very unreliable. But, hey -- you are camping after all!

Some camp rules to note before you rent: No smoking (fire danger!), no drugs, no fireworks. Two dogs are allowed -- but please make sure they are safe -- we have bears!

Please note that this campsite is located in a secluded neighborhood -- mostly empty lots and a few cabins. You might have some nearby (across the street) campers, but you will have the two acres to yourself!

Remember that peace and quiet prevails...

This place was as advertised. We had 2 campers parked at the site with plenty of room to back in/out. Plenty of room to leave the trucks. You may not get completely level but we slept there 3 straight nights very comfortably. We also had a friend join us for a night that slept in a camp in the woods behind the camper.
The con was the fire situation. The listing says fires are allowed as long as there are no active fire bans. There were no fire bans but the host informed us that we could not have a fire because they did not pull a permit. The listing at the time did not mention it being up to the camper to pull permits for fires so just check with host before booking.
Overall, great stay, I enjoyed my morning runs on the hilly dirt road and there was minimal sightings of other campers. we hiked Sherman one day and it was only 40 mins away. the stage stop saloon is quite delightful too!

Couldn’t locate the lot sign from the directions given. We ended up finding a campsite and staying there, not at all sure it was the right spot.

The site was great - plenty of flat room for our two tents, canopy, small grill, horseshoes, etc. The lot feels mostly private, but there are adjacent sites which can hold other campers. The group close to us was very big and at times loud, so it felt a bit more like a campground instead of secluded land. Not the end of the world, just a heads-up depending on what you're looking for. Tarryall is close by so fishing is an option and Marilee was really helpful and very responsive.

Really beautiful spot to camp! The location is close to Tarryall Reservoir so very convenient to hiking fishing etc. The location is within a community with large lots so you can hear others but still very private. The host was very helpful and friendly. I definitely enjoyed this site and would recommend (but wanna keep secret 😊! Lol

My daughter and I loved our campsite! We had a ton of space, even with our dogs. I felt safe, just my daughter and I, and I enjoyed putting our tent up surrounded by aspens. Marilee was polite, and easy to talk to. I knew what to expect before we got there, and she told us about things to do nearby. Great spot!
