Sunshine Mountain is a shared 7.5 acre property which includes the RV spot, 2 Bunkhouses, a vacation rental and host’s home. Back portion of the property is a wooded hiking trail for all guests to enjoy. It is located in the historic Ute Pass region. The property was once owned by Ute Indians who later sold it, at which time it became a Hippie camp and later a family home/ranch. We can’t wait to meet you and help you have the true Colorado experience. You will love the country feel while being walking distance to Woodland Park and have the amenities of 50 amp electric, WiFi, water (not for drinking), picnic table, chairs, mini grill, hammock, porta potty, gray water dump at site, propane fire pit (guests bring their own propane) and access to black water dump if needed. $15 black dump fee for bookings less than 1 week, otherwise 1 free black water dump per week. Pets must be on a leash at all times and pets and children are never to be left unattended for any period of time.We are located in the shadow of beautiful Pike’s Peak. The RV site is on the back portion of our shared property, backing up to 3.5 acres of wooded hiking trails on a shared 7.5 acre property. Campers must have some sort of camper or RV, we do not allow tents, open camping or car camping at this site. The RV site with full hookups faces the woods but it not a remote location as we do have other rentals/buildings nearby (see pictures for proximity). Base price allows 4 guests, up to 8 guests allowed with additional nightly fee. We NO longer have a porta potty available to campers. We always offer free water fill ups and free water hookup is available when temperature is above 45* (not safe for drinking unless filtered). 50 AMP electricity, free gray water dump station at site and portable black water dump (1 free black water dump for each full week stay, otherwise $20 per dump) We also have a picnic table for up to 8 people, a portable propane fire pit and grill (bring your own propane, please) free WiFi, trash, a play house and a hammock. You will be surrounded by horses, cattle, chickens, dogs, cats and all kinds of wildlife (animals are not to be fed as they are on special diets). We do not allow loud music, camp fires, smoking, drugs or marijuana use anywhere on property. Campers are responsible for proper food storage as to not attract wildlife. Pets are welcomed but must be on a leash at all times and cleaned up after (with $5 fee per pet per day to be paid using Hip Camp or Venmo prior to arrival). Campers should be aware we have pets and wildlife that roam the property and we cannot accommodate aggressive animals/pets. We are close to hiking, fishing, atv trails and so much more. We are only 10 mins. from Santa’s Workshop/North Pole, entrance to Pike’s Peak and Charis Bible College, 20 min. to Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, Glen Erie Castle, and Helen Hunt Falls. We are less than 2 miles from Woodland Park’s year round aquatic center which features a lap pool, kidszone, water slide and showers. Also close by is the seasonal outdoor pool in Green Mountain Falls. Campsite price is for 4 people, additional guests are $10 per person, per day (up to 8 people total). For larger groups we also have the option of booking a 3 bed, 2 bath home on property which sleeps an additional 8 people plus an infant. Message owner for details about booking the campsite and home. Coming July 2024, guests will be able to utilize the shared reading/prayer Bunkhouse or Art Studio Bunkhouse, both included in the price. Books and some art supplies are supplied. Guests may bring their own supplies and quality art paper and canvas will be available for purchase. Guests may also interact with and feed the chickens (no avocado, onions or chocolate) and fresh eggs are $5 per dozen. Mini Coleman propane is available for $5 per unit. To insure all of our guests safety, only registered guests are allowed on property, anyone else will be considered trespassing. We like to give our guests space and privacy, but we do live on property and are happy to assist you with any needs that may arise.

Nice, quiet space, conveniently located. We had access to water and electric, as well as some fresh eggs. Holly was very responsive to any need or question we had.

Sunshine Mountain RV/Camper site
We camped in a 30ft RV. The spot was pretty level and we had plenty of room to ourselves around it. It was a quiet spot backed up against the woods, near the horses. It is relatively close to other working outbuildings on the farm but we didn't encounter any noise or commotion. It was a lovely time!

Sunshine Mountain Bunkhouse #1
Great little cabin that has electricity, a fridge, plates/silverware for you to use. Outhouse was clean. The horses and chickens were fun to watch! There was also plenty of great hiking on the property. Highly recommended!

Sunshine Mountain Bunkhouse #1
We stayed in bunkhouse #1 and it was perfect! There is electricity, a microwave and fridge, fairy lights, silverware and plates, a very nice Porta potty, and 2 comfortable cots. This was the perfect affordable break from staying in a tent for multiple nights in a row. No bugs, protection from rain/wind, and a nice mattress. Definitely recommend!
