About Boyd Lake State Park

Sometimes it feels dang near impossible to find a decent lake in Colorado. So, a hearty “hallelujah!” is in order for Boyd Lake State Park. Snuggled up to the foothills of the Continental Divide (and lofty Long’s Peak, specifically) it’s a water-lover’s haven. Rent kayaks, stand up paddleboards, and more at the fully stocked marina. Plus, they aren’t afraid of boats with a bit of horsepower over here, so bring (or rent) jet skis, ski boats, or your favorite fishing boat. If you’d prefer to stay close to land, get your sexy self over to the sandy beach, where you can swim and sunbathe the day away.

There’s no need to leave once the sun sets, because Boyd Lake has a buttload of paved, pull-through campsites to enjoy, too. Ahh, the mountains never felt so refreshing.
