Primitive camping right next to a beautiful creek with great views and private fishing. If you do not mind having a few neighbors, this is the place for you! This is one of 2 listings for our shared site. How many neighbors you will have will vary depending on how many people the other camper has in their party. Could be 2 people, could be 15, though we do not get a ton of groups that large. Some campers book both shared sites and have the entire area to themselves. (that is, if both are available during your dates of stay.)

Please read entire listing as it will answer most questions. Please also note the check-in process as the GPS pin does not reflect accurately due to the size of the land and the many different areas we have created within the land to open up private camping areas for people to safely social distance.

These sites are awesome because you can place your tent/camper as close to the water as you wish. The sound of water flowing and peaceful sunsets over the Flat Tops landscape is what campers love the most here.

RATE: Nightly fee is $50 for 2 people. Additional persons are $25 per night per person. Children under 12 are free. Please scroll down to bottom to read our clause on dogs.

You’ll feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere yet less than 2 miles from these essentials:

-Grocery Store

-Liquor Store

-Bar with a Patio downtown Yampa

-24 Hour 50’s Diner downtown Yampa

-Gas Station

RECREATION HERE:

-Tons of hiking Trails

-ATV trails

-Alpine Lakes

-Multiple Reservoirs to Paddle Board/Kayak/Canoe

-MANY Reservoirs & small lakes for fishing

-Scenic Drives

-Free Firing Range located nearby

-StageCoach Reservoir and beach.

LOCATED: 27 miles from Steamboat Springs in Yampa, CO.

*This is primitive dispersed camping that comes with the peace of mind of being able to have a reservation and privacy as we know coming by sites these days does not come easy!

****Also, it is Colorado and it is camping, so the MOSQUITOS and HORSE FLYS can be thick at times and they like fresh blood. All campers will want to make sure they have bug spray on BEFORE they start setting up their camp or you WILL get bit. We recommend DEET as it works the best, also please protect your animals as they like them too!

GETTING HERE:

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the fact we own several acres of land, these sites that have been created do not have their own address, therefore GPS pins are not too helpful. PLEASE NOTE OUR CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS.

CHECK-IN PROCESS: We ask that you call us on the telephone number we provide at booking to notify us when you are 1-2 hours out and we will meet you in Yampa (less than 2 miles from your site) and personally take you to your site to ensure you do not get lost. Even if your check in is extremely late at night, that is ok.

****THOSE WHO HAVE DOGS****due to the fact this is a shared area and not one of our private sites, dogs must be leashed; HOWEVER, if you prefer not to have your dogs leashed we can place you on the other side of the river, across from the other party. This will ensure no dog fights and no neighbors being bothered if your dogs like to run around. When booking, please indicate if you have dogs. The first party to arrive gets to pick which side of the river they would like.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Moderate - If you cancel at least 3 days before your check in day and time, you’ll receive a full refund (minus Hipcamp fees). If you cancel within the 3 days before check in, there will be no refund.

This place was great! Bobby and Denise were super friendly upon arrival and gave us great recommendations on what to do while we were there! The site was beautiful! Bring bug spray for sure and make sure to bring plenty of blankets because it gets cold at night! Overall we were very pleased with our experience!
