I had a very enjoyable two night stay here. A very convenient location with friendly hosts. I would definitely stay here again if I'm visiting the area.
René made sure we had everything we needed and gave us hiking recommendations which we took and enjoyed very much!
Rene is wonderful, she is hospitable and creative. I truly enjoyed my stay at Black Burro Ranch, she is attentive to refills of provided 5 gallon water jugs and cleanliness of facilities. Her "wag-bag" system is convenient as well as efficient when camping! Her location could not be any more accessible to surrounding attractions and Montrose for any goods needed. Her dog Jolene is so cute, and her horses are beautiful. I camped with my 2.5 year old daughter and dog, we felt safe and it was peaceful. Thank you Rene!
Driving through and needed a spot to camp, loved that there was shade. Super clean area and host was very nice and helpful.

Really beautiful place to camp! Rene was so kind and keeps the place very clean and nice. We were visiting Black Canyon of the Gunnison and the sites were full so we found this instead. Easy drive about 40 minutes away.
It was a beautiful place to camp!
What a beautiful location! It was very quiet and secluded. The added amenities were greatly appreciated. René was very gracious and we had a lovely stay. I highly recommend this spot and would stay again.
This place was a great stay as we passed through Montrose and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. It’s just a little bit out of town, but it’s worth it for the seclusion and the stars! Would definitely come back.
Cute little spot to camp. Rene has made a special spot on her land for camping. It's a great spot with lots to do all around. She did a good job making it feel remote even though it is close to her home. It was super clean and had a place to use the restroom and a little solar shower that worked out great : ). I traveled with my daughter and her friend and we felt very safe, secure and comfy.
