Badger Creek Ranch is a family owned and operated working ranch high above the Arkansas Valley in Central Colorado. We take a holistic approach to ranching and land stewardship; from having good daily practices by living “off the grid,” providing healthy locally sourced food to our guests and healthy, humanely raised meat to our meat customers, and by living in harmony with nature, including our livestock and the wildlife that call the ranch their home. Our intention is to create a space that provides connection and community. This work is meant to be shared and experienced by all. We welcome you to join us and be a part of Badger Creek Ranch. Whether you want to get your hands in the dirt, take respite and recharge, or find inspiration for your own work, Badger Creek’s gate is open. Great views!

We loved car camping at Badger Creek Ranch! There is a composting toilet as well as a running water toilet (and shower!). Everyone was super friendly and helpful on the ranch. We loved the dogs and horses! The morning and evening offered beautiful sunrise/sets. We will be coming back!

Peace & Quiet on a working ranch

If peace and quiet and star-gazing is your style then Badger Creek Ranch is what you need. They sit back on an incredibly large chunk of land, that is about 50 min from Salida and roughly 75 min from Canon City. The landscape is gorgeous and it’s a fully working ranch with horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, and chickens. The ranch hosts are incredible nice and they offer everything you could need. They supply fire wood and even a bucket of water to put out your campfire, there’s also an outhouse or a more equipped bathroom with shower if needed. We loved this ranch and will definitely book here again.

Perfect Off-Grid Getaway!

Our tent camping experience was amazing! To start, the drive was just beautiful. We came at the perfect time to see baby cows and deer. The hosts were so gracious, providing extra firewood and even a hammer when we forgot ours to stake the tent. Perfect place if you are looking to unplug and unwind!
