If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Roni is one of the kindest people. Her place to camp was easy to find with the signs she put up on her local roads, and the directions she personally sent us, they really did help. The campsite that we stayed at was nice. The wood chips that she put down were a nice touch and kept our tent clean from the dusty ground. Roni let us use her shower and was very descriptive on where everything was located. She communicated with us through text which was extremely convenient. If your looking for a typical place to stay, close to town, for a decent price, Roni's Farm is the place for you.
We really enjoyed our time at Ferretti Farm! Roni met us upon arrival, and was very friendly and gracious. She is just getting started with this property, and was honest and excited about what she is creating. The site was clean and easy to drive our vehicles into. A house on the property provided us with running water/shower, and Roni let us use the stove and refrigerator. The property is within walking distance to the town's eating and drinking establishments, and a short drive to the grocery store. It is an easy drive to Yosemite from Groveland. We had a very good experience there and recommend it to others!
Roni is a fantastic and very attentive host! she showed up on our first night and we spend a nice evening together. The camping ground is fully equipped with a hot shower, toilet and in the kitchen you find everything you need (stove, fridge, grill and kitchen equipment), therefore it was more "Glamping" than camping :) Outside is a nice sitting area where we had a BBQ at night, so you don't have to bring chairs.
It was a real adventure! We were a big group of 9 people and we had so much fun! Be aware that the two houses on the camping ground are in a pretty rough state, Roni bought this property recently and we were the third group of campers. It can definitely be a little bit scary at night (so maybe not the best place for 2 "chicken-hearted" girls...).. As we were a big group it was a real adventure and I would definitely come back to see the progress of Ronis new project! Thank you for having us!!!
Roni is really great! Caring and right there with whatever we needed, and still left us to our own devices. She brought out a long extension cord to run the electric heater in our van. It’s a few turns to get there but at the end just keep going up the hill, her house is a cute well-lit cottage.
Amazing experience @ferretti farms
Ronnie was my saving Grace!! Our Yosemite campsites that I made back in November were cancelled just weeks away from our school trip North. Desperate to find available sites, I logged on to hipcamp and found Ferretti Farms. She was able to work with me and saved the trip. Cute location that had shower access which the students absolutely loved. Ronnie is a great host who really went above and beyond the call of duty. Would definitely stay with her again :) it’s about an hour drive into the Valley, but you pass by the road into hetch hetchy which is not as busy as the Valley. We took everyone on a hike to the waterfalls and I have to say, that was my favorite hike we did the entire trip. Not to mention, she’s right down the street from one of the oldest running saloons in the nation! How cool! We walked there from our camp for dinner one night :) it’s the perfect balance of being in the back of the woods, but close enough to convince stores/services. 20/10, would highly recommend- can’t say enough good things about our time there!
The area is beautiful, great stop on your way to Yosemite. Great, little town and the site is an easy stroll to a great place to eat, Meat Market, and drink, Bourbon/tap room at The Groveland Hotel. The host was very kind, her place woody, beautiful, and peaceful. I wasn't expecting the camp sites to be so close to her home, literally across the driveway for us, so privacy might be an issue for some.
Gorgeous retreat near yosemite!
Roni was one of the best hosts we ever stayed with! So welcoming and fun, as soon as we arrived she treated us like family. The property was absolutely stunning too. At sunrise and sunset it glowed with amazing light, and each site felt very private and secluded, and the birds! Wowow, the birds sounded so beautiful. We couldn't recommend the site any more highly. It's a perfect little rest stop on the way to Yosemite.
