CAMPSITE 5 HENRIETTA

This listing is a roomy, canvas tent that comfortably sleeps 4 and is outfitted nicely to make setting up camp easy.  It has a private area under market lights with a picnic table, two overstuffed bean bag chairs, dry storage on the tent platform for your snacks and goodies, available shower, indoor toilets and outdoor, communal kitchen. We ask that guests do not eat in the tents and remove their shoes to help keep it nice and clean for others.

Bring your own sleeping bags/linens. We offer a protective case and clean, flat sheets to be used on top of the mattress, but count on guest using their own bedding.

COVID-19 - While we offer soap, hot water and disinfectant spray we trust that our campers are taking precautions to stay safe and will practice social distancing while staying with us. We do not have anything marked, as we trust that we all are aware of how far 6 feet apart is. ;)  We are not able to clean our bathroom after each guest and ask each camper to clean up before and after themselves to ensure their own safety.  Sadly, someone has already stolen some of our supplies and we can't afford to keep giving away free things. We know that YOU would never do that....

Thanks for understanding!!!

WHAT WE ARE:

We are a Hipcamp that offers our guests a clean, hot shower and two indoor toilets. Pretty rad, right?! We are people who are utilizing a very old, funky mobile home to make some money and pay off our land while living in the shabby chic cottage on site. We are a peaceful place in historic downtown Groveland to enjoy a glamping experience in one of our beautiful, canvas tents, stay in our fully equipped 18 foot RV, pitch your own tent, or park your RV under the same pines and oaks that fill Yosemite National Park. We are a new venture on a property that has been mistreated for years and we are loving it back to health on a very limited budget. We are a place that has a super cool, vintage, outdoor kitchen with hot water & cold water, a 1950 Wedgewood gas range with four burners, a bar with 4 stools and an umbrella and a small propane bbq.  BRING YOUR OWN COOK/SERVING/DRINK WARE! We are a 3-5 minute walk from the public transit system into Yosemite. Check out YARTS dot com online for schedules. WE ARE AN AWESOME PLACE TO BE!!!

WHAT WE ARE NOT:

A snooty, high end, generously funded campground with brand new furniture, a pristine campfire ring, manicured sites and marble showers. (Although, we are people who love to visit those places!)

Please let me know you've read this far by telling me how many smokers are in your group when you send your booking request.

Just 26 miles from the gate with Main Street Groveland just a quick walk down the back streets of the Gold Rush Town. Enjoy dinner and drinks at The Iron Door Saloon, the oldest continuously operating Saloon this side of the Mississippi.  Enjoy the high end Bourbon Bar and small bites at the Groveland Hotel's Provisions and then take a stroll down Main Street to the Hotel Charlotte for a full dinner and cocktails at the full bar with a very talented mixologist. Sleep soundly in the peace and quiet of the park like setting before or after your adventure in breathtaking Yosemite.

LINENS ARE NOT PROVIDED & PLEASE BRING A SLEEPING BAG OR BLANKETS!

This beautiful, powered, canvas tent includes everything a group of four needs:

- 3 Beds (1 Queen, 2 Twins)

- 2 large and 4 small throw pillows

-4 yoga blankets and 3 queen sized flat sheets

-2 large bean bag chairs

-1 battery operated lantern

-1 Jenga game

-2 night stands

-1 mini dresser

-1 camp stove

-1 tea kettle

- Wifi

Bring linens from home and pickup food on the way. You can bring along a small propane cylinder and use the outdoor camp stove that is in the tent. (DO NOT USE CAMP STOVE INSIDE THE TENT) Also, the outdoor kitchen with gas range and bbq included for you!

Ferretti Farm is just a quick walk from downtown Groveland. Enjoy dinner and drinks at The Iron Door Saloon, the oldest continuously operating Saloon this side of the Mississippi. Or enjoy the high end Bourbon Bar and small bites at the Groveland Hotel's Provisions and then take a stroll down Main Street to the Hotel Charlotte for a full dinner and cocktails at the full bar.  Sleep soundly in the peace and quiet of the park like setting before or after your adventure in breathtaking Yosemite.

The tent setup at this Hipcamp is quite nice. They have everything you need for cooking, and I could spend all day in that tent! Reasonably close to Yosemite, without all the hassle of trying to get a campsite in the valley.

You're also a 2-minute walk into town which was super helpful for getting groceries or grabbing food when we were too tired to cook :D

One thing to note is that the tent is not super secluded. Also - the bathroom is definitely a work in progress, as the tents definitely deliver the glamping experience but the rest of the site still has work to be done!

If it's cold the weekend you plan on coming, definitely bring plenty of blankets and enjoy!

We had so much fun glamping at Ferretti Farm! The tent was amazing - bed, electric blanket and the bean bag chairs were all great. Short walk to great restaurants in town we’re perfect.

Clean, easy camping! We brought our own stove but there is a nice outdoor kitchen. The trailer with the bathrooms is nice and clean. There was plenty of soap and cleaning supplies there for covid precautions (though I know this isn’t guaranteed it was nice!). On Saturday nights the music from town was pretty loud until around 10pm. It kept my kids up, but my husband I enjoyed it!

We had a blast on Roni's property. She was so helpful answering questions during the planning process and the camp host, Tim, was a legend. The area was perfect for our crew and the facilities were better than we expected based on previous reviews. We hope to return soon!

Loved the site. The host was great and welcoming and there was plenty of space in our campsite. The full-on "glamping tent" was MASSIVE! We rented both out and between the sites, it easily accomodated our group of 8. Also, the amenities were fantastic and readily available. I would go as far to say that the listing is actually fairly modest in describing what you actually get from the site ;-) Would definitely return. Thanks Roni and Tim!

The yurt was immaculate, the little string lights and picnic table were so useful and cute, this particular site was right next to the camp fire (which had wood for us to use), the bathrooms were old but also clean and they had Clorox to clean the bathroom! Kitchen area outside also was great. Would definitely come back, this place is underrated! Must add tho that it’s not in the wilderness. The campsite is about 2 minutes from town and more of a communal vibe than camping in the wilderness

Hipcamper Roni
Response from Roni, the Host, on August 14th, 2020

Thank you for the recommendation and great review, Jacqueline! We are so glad you enjoyed our spot. While we're glad you enjoyed it, we do have a very strict fire policy and typically do not allow campers to have a fire without our camp host present as we are in an extremely high fire danger area. I'm glad it all worked out, but encourage you to double check the rules anytime you're Hipcamping. We'd be happy to host you again any time! Roni and Camp Host Tim
