Wuss Camp is for someone who doesn't want to go days without a shower or a good meal, but still wants to sleep outdoors in a very beautiful, relatively remote, place. Pitch your own tent ... our use our tent and our sleeping bags and our 2 cots pitched across the creek in the old orchard on our 80-acre farm, one mile from the north Pacific Ocean. This is not rugged wilderness camping, or even Camp Fire Girl camping. It's Wuss Camping. You have access to bathroom and shower in the house, shared with Airbnb guests. A big homemade breakfast is included in the site price. There are no visible neighbors, no ambient noise. We are surrounded by spruce forest; the campsite is near a creek that originates on the property. One mile from the ocean, and four miles (east) to the Victorian Village of Ferndale. Chilly at night, dewy in the morning. A fire ring is provided, and so is just about anything else that would make you comfortable. (But, we're not a cannabis site.) We've had 5-star Airbnb ratings for 5 years. My husband is a handyman, and I'm a writer/editor/historian. PS: Families: parents can book comfy accommodations indoors with Airbnb and put children (over 10) or teenagers in the Hip Camp site.
