FIRST OPEN AVAILABILITY IS OCT 3-9. NEW SITE! Forest Field is a sanctuary in a spruce forest to a shady creek clearing to a sheltered view of an open meadow, a vast site that can accomodate a softball diamond and three camping units. Pricing can be confusing, so bear with me: All children are free. ("Adults" are defined by us as 25 years old and over.) Every adult is $35/night and there is a two-night minimum. A couple with any number of children is, therefore, $70/night or $140/minimum booking. Every extra adult is $35/night at a two-night minimum. (Example: Auntie Lisa wants to come for one night of your stay. Great. Welcome, Lisa. Her fee is $70/one adult at a 2-night minimum.) There is no charge for extra vehicles, within reason. What this site offers: Access to 70 acres of woods and upper meadows, great hiking in the area, one mile to north Pacific ocean (wild and cold), which you can hear at night (no ambient noise or light). No electricity. All campers at this site share the bathrooms (2) and showers at the Base Camp. Two campsites have a fire for gathering cooking. Easy access for vehicles; limit 20', no RV hookups. Fresh spring water faucets at Base Camp. No mosquitos. Birdwatching, hiking. Night sounds include mating foxes and owls. Super-clean air & water. Get ready for the Big Unwind.

Places to see near Wuss Camp
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We had an amazing experience here. Wendy and John were so friendly and accommodating and their animals Bob the emu and Louie the dog were friendly and fun. The home is beautiful and we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are lucky to get a spot!
Wonderful relaxing vacation!!!
We had a wonderful time at Wuss Camp. Wendy and John were excellent hosts. The coffee was great and the fresh baguettes were to die for. We had a picnic on the beach courtesy of Wendy and had an excellent dinner and time together as a family. Wendy gave a great history of the area and ideas for what to do. It was so relaxing. We will be back for sure.
