Very well kept campsite! I went to the campsite to watch the Perseid meteor shower and it is a good location for stargazing. Relatively close to Twentynine Palms, and you can see the lights of the cars on the highway, but it is silent and secluded. Tom and Gina gave me plenty of information on the site and location in advance and were a great help.
Quite the experience staying at Wolf's Den.
Incredibly quiet and peaceful place to camp. Not far from the 29 palms Joshua Tree Entrance and close to 29 Palms. Great place to see the stars at night, watch meteors, or just come to get away from the city.
The bathrooms and showers are SO SO NICE. As you shower, you have a view of the mountains.
Each campsite has their own fire pit and picnic table, we made some veggie skewers and roasted them over the fire. If you bring pets, keep up with them and don't let them run off, especially at night - you don't want a coyote to snatch them up!
We loved this spot so very much! Bathrooms were super nice and clean, and taking an outdoor shower with the sun and mountains in the background was the best experience. It was so peaceful. Hosts were wonderful as well.
this place was dope! It was c.lean and everything that we needed and plenty close to the park. we experienced a few hiccups while at the spot but nothing that ruined our time. tom and gina are the best!!
My boyfriend and I spent the weekend at Wolf's Den Campsite and had an incredible time. Tom and Gina were amazing hosts - checking up on us the morning after a crazy rainstorm in the desert and testing out the roads with their pickup truck to make sure my little Toyota corolla could make it through the mud haha. The site was well kept and had toilets and showers! The site is just a short drive to a grocery store which made it easy to grab food and fire wood, and just a short drive to the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Overall Wolf's Den was a great camping spot and we definitely would come back!
