I have a small ranch with two barns and open flat land  on the Central Coast to park your RV or camper. There is plenty of open space to park your RV, (turn around, back in, pull-thru) and I do allow RV campers to set up tents as well, if desired.    I am perfectly located on the Cali coast at the half way points from Los Angeles and San Francisco and is the perfect stopover

I have a small ranch with two barns and open flat land  on the Central Coast to park your RV or camper. There is plenty of open space to park your RV, (turn around, back in, pull-thru) and I do allow RV campers to set up tents as well, if desired.    I am perfectly located on the Cali coast at the half way points from Los Angeles and San Francisco and is the perfect stopover when traveling the coast.  What you will get here is seclusion and strawberry scented air.  The ranch is on the riverbed mesa with a panoramic view of the Sierra Madre mountain range, avocado orchards, and the valley floor is covered in strawberry fields.

I have small individual BBQ pits that you can use at your site; or you can bring your own small grills.

The property is a quick 2 miles off the 101, at an exit with all the stores/amenities you need for your camping experience.  I am located where several wine trails begin that will wrap you through Foxen Canyon down into Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, and Los Alamos to Bob's Well Bread Bakery, tasting rooms and some intimate cafes. This is also a famous cycling route. Going North of Santa Maria you have hiking, beaches, sand dunes, more wineries, bike trails, hot springs, and my all time favorite Thursday night Farmers Market in SLO.  Madonna Inn is a one of kind must-see iconic pop culture throw back hotel/restaurant/bakery--a dessert and coffee stop after the farmers market where you can check out every nook and cranny (especially both downstairs bathrooms) and be amazed by it.  In Pismo Beach you will find the Triple D famed Splash Café which has delicious  seafood and clam chowder.  Just around the corner are the biggest, gooiest, yummiest to-die-for cinnamon rolls at Old West Bakery (one will feed 4+).   Both are so worth the lines and you will have to get there early before they sell out (Maple Bacon)--no guilt there if you hike Madonna Hill or Montana De Oro first!  There are many open nature preserves/trails to visit during Covid restrictions, and the ocean of course!

When you are done checking out all the cool places on the Central Coast you will come back to a beautiful sunset, sky full of stars and a bonfire with complimentary s'mores.  Please bring jackets because it does get cool at night; your own bundle(s) of wood; your own camping chairs, and any camping equipment for cooking.

In following Health Officer Order No. 2020-12.5 for Santa Barbara County, effective date July 14, 2020, 5:00 p.m., for opening of campgrounds protocol.  There is hand sanitizer and disinfectant next to the portable bathroom and communal area.

My personal residence (pool) is off limits.

Meredith was an absolutely awesome host: so helpful; so communcative and even let us check in way early because our plans had changed last minute. The space is huge and if you live privacy and isolation there is nothing better.
The site is better suited to modern rigs, our vintage trailer was a little wobbly without a flat bed, but all in all it was a true adventure.

It is a very simple campsite but it gave us what we needed. Meredith was a great hostess setting up the fire and visiting with the guests.

You might see more cars around when you wake up as the space is used by field workers as a parking lot but this was not an issue. We were not woken up by any activities.

It allowed us to have a mini break and explore the area.

Response from Meredith, the Host, on June 23rd, 2020

Lisa, because of your late arrival the property gating was left open, and prevented blocking the area from parking. I was able to block the entrance your first morning camping, and it remained blocked for the rest of your stay and will for the rest of the summer. That was a failure of the field foreman to inform all the workers about parking restrictions, and thankfully the work of picking strawberries in the morning dew did not disturb you further!

Meredith and her husband were great hosts. The ranch was just far enough out but only a few miles from stores and gas stations. Nice views of the mountains and I appreciated the awesome smells of the strawberry fields just steps away. I only wish there were grassy areas for the dogs, as they got quite a few little cockleburs in their paws from walking around the site. Otherwise, it was a cool area to hang out.

We had a wonderful time at With and Wonder Farm. We were located in the back of the barn in space 2 & 3 which allowed for privacy and a bit of seclusion. Access to the inside of the barn was a godsend from the sun and so very much appreciated. The porta-potty was clean and well kept. The showers will be pretty cool once water is piped there. The solar shower we just couldnt get them to flow properly but that may have been us not knowing how to use them. This location was close to anything you would need; food, supplies. There is a yummy pizza & beer place located on the same exit. We spent a day at Oceana State Beach and another day at Old Porte Beach. We came upon another brewery that was quite yummy called SLO Brew. It was a great way to spend time in our little pod during these unique times.

A perfect pit stop in our RV. When we. Pulled up we were greeted by the lovely owner. She helped us park the RV level and then brought us firewood, a fire pit, and to top it off she brought us a S’mores to roast. The sunset over the valley was beautiful. The evening air was cool and perfect thank fir being a wonderful host and a quiet restful night of sleep!!!! .

This was our first Hipcamp stay so we weren't quite sure what to expect. It certainly exceed our expectation and definitely met our needs for an overnight stay. Meredith is a wonderful host. We were at RV site 5 which overlooked the strawberry fields below with access to the open air barn. The fire pit that was provided keep us warm during the cool evening. Would recommend a stay at Wit and Wonder Farms.

For this being my 1st time camping with my family and using the app, it was a great experience. We had the site all to ourselves being that we stood during the week. Frog search at night was fun, too bad we didn’t find any. We would definitely be back and recommend to families.

Sheltered from the cool night breeze in a open barnA lot of land for kids to play in. Wonderful little fire for s’mores
