This was a great campsite. The location is great and the campsite host is very communicative and accommodating. They really went the extra step to set up to make sure that site was set up for us, there was firewood, bucket of water ready to put out the fire, etc. There's bathrooms with showers near the camp, nothing fancy, but they work. They campsite itself is very large, with lots of flat spots for tents. There's a ranch next to the campsite with cabins and there's horses and a llama that occasionally wander through the field. All in all we had a great time here.
We had a group of 5 (college friends 27-30yrs) staying at the camp site. 1 word resonates our stay: AMAZING . We came to unwind and have a good birthday long weekend, Jeanette and Bobby were beyond helpful making it perfect. We got firewood brought every day, they helped planning our day and we loved kayaking and fishing. Despite how helpful they were, they also super respected our privacy and we felt super at ease and had our own large space to play around our area. Our group is already planning out next trip here! Thank you so much to the both of them!
Jeannette was a really great host - she was very responsive and gave informative answers to all our questions immediately. We were able to book a guide through Jeannette for fishing and rented a canoe ($55 all day). Bob, our fishing guide, was really helpful and knowledgable. He was also super nice and even let us borrow some of his tools that we didn't have for fishing! The lake that we fished at and canoed on was right on the property, which made it really convenient. It's about a 10-15 minute walk away. Driving is also an option but you would need an AWD or at least a 4WD to drive through the property. There were also a bucket of water and fire distinguisher (filled with water) placed next to us to put out our campfire at night, which was really convenient and thoughtful. Jeannette and Bob were really great and we felt safe and welcomed.
The only thing to be wary of is the yellowjacket wasps. It may be because it was summer but there were SO MANY of them especially when we were eating. It really ruined our experience at times because they really prevented us from cooking and eating in peace. Other than that, we just wished there were more clear signs of where everything was but everything else was great!
