I have nothing but good things to say about this camping spot. My wife and I decided to go camping with another couple to celebrate our anniversary’s which happened to line up pretty well and we happened across this camp site. Let’s just say this was one of the best if not the best anniversaries we have celebrated and that’s 100% due to the hosts and the quality of this camping experience. You are right on the river surrounded by some of the most picture perfect nature you can find and on top of all that there is a pack of friendly goats that will come around a few times and hangout with you at the site. Not to mention the tour guide cats and dogs who were the nicest and most fun, they hiked with us and chilled with us by the fire all night long. On top of the amazing wildlife and scenery the hosts were the best! They literally treated us like family and helped us out with all the questions we had, and we had quite a few for them since we were traveling from so far away. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing anniversary trip and we really felt like we were at home! We are booking even more trips to this campsite as soon as this review is completed.

Bottom line, if you love adorable goats and fun cats and dogs while camping right on the Klamath River this is the place. We highly recommend this location to anybody from families looking for a day on the river enjoying fun and games to the tent camper looking to be a bit closer to nature without having to deal with huge campgrounds and crowds of people.

They really were the most friendly things in the worldThe goats made this trip so unique and fun.The campsite we had was literally steps away from the river bankGreat spot for fly fishing!

Wilde River Farm exceeded our expectations and our group was sad that we did not plan to stay longer. Maritza and her family were so helpful and available to meet with us however the site also gave privacy. The location next to the river could not be more beautiful and the animals were the best. Our group fell in love with the two dogs and would definitely love to come back to this campsite in the future!

Maritza and family were amazing hosts, going above an beyond to make us feel like family as soon as we arrived. The grounds were amazing from the incredible riverside camping to the lawn games to welcoming goats and dogs. Make sure to take advantage of the fame to table cocktails and dinner as an added bonus, we’ll definitely be back again.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a 2 night stay at the “Wild River Farm” we took full advantage of all of the extras such as fire wood, kayaks, and the delicious muffins!
There’s plenty of activities to weather you’re a solo camper or in a group.

Maritza and John were fantastic hosts, they showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed for a good time.

We stayed in camp site # 1 which is on the north side of the lot and located down river. The site was shaded very well by some trees and got just the right amount of sunlight throughout the day. This site has a bit more privacy in my opinion. There is a tent with a camp shower/compostable toilet which included Clorox wipes, toilet paper, wipes, and lavender essential oil. (Thank You!)

Behind the campsite there’s a trail which leads down river, there you will find The white hammock hanging over the edge, it’s perfect! A bit further down the trail there’s a few spots where the water is calm and you can get in and lounge in the river.

I recommend paying for the fire wood, it’ll be waiting for you at the site when you arrive. Not sure what’s different about their wood but it burns so much better then anything store bought and there was enough wood to last 2/3 days.

The kayaks were so much fun I do strongly renting them and going out on the river.

Lastly, we ordered the muffins and I didn’t read that they were “Texas Style” made from wild black berries picked from along the river. The muffins were delicious and they came paired with fresh homemade butter and some french press coffee.

I’m going to upload some photos but the photos do no justice. This place is beautiful and not only did we feel like we were alone in nature but we also felt safe and enjoyed our stay.

Thank you Maritza!

The river and natural pool area just down the river. If you zoom in you can see the campsite off in the distance. Our evening view from campsite 1Having breakfast. The highly recommended, super delicious muffins!

Maritza and John are great hosts and their property is very private. You have a 7.2 mile drive on a narrow hard packed dirt road but you are rewarded with a large property, lots of privacy and a river front oasis to enjoy!

Our travel trailer is 25 feet long and I would say that is the max comfortable length to navigate her property, get situated with hook ups (located close to the house) and then exit the property again via a narrow path along the property.

We opted to have Maritza make breakfast and dinner for us one day and the food was fantastic She prepared an awesome smoked chicken that fell off the bone!

Bring river/water shoes, lots of inflatables and a sense of adventure if you really want to enjoy this property. We took day trips to Crater Lake, Happy Camp, Yreka and Tree of Heaven State Park. We brought our 5 month old puppy and had no issues in coexisting with the chickens, goats, 3 dogs, 3 cats.

Their property is located about 25 min from Yreka or 20 min west of I-5. You'll love falling asleep to the peace and rushing sound of the Klamath River!

Would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful place to play in the river, play games, or just hang out. The host was both welcoming and helpful. We we also welcomed by goats, dogs, and river otters. Our campsite was private and wonderful to be at. This property is extra special in the combination of river access it has. At one end the river is wide and slow, suitable for swimming and paddling around. Then if one chooses, you can go down some moderate ripples in a tube. This section ends in a backwater by the shore, preventing unwanted trips further down river. Perfect for kids and adults too. A bonus was a private portable restroom/shower for each campsite.

Sometimes it's good to be able to look up a bird, or a boat, or a river otter...

My husband & I spent 2 nights camped down on the goat beach in an attempt to beat the July heat. It was wonderful to have so much space to ourselves, and our two dogs especially loved running around and rolling in the wild mint. We stayed at site 2 which gets a lot of direct sun, but thankfully there was an adjustable shade cover installed over the picnic table which was a huge relief (thank you!) If it's too hot on the beach, a nice alternative is the beautiful lawn which gets some nice shade and breeze. The highlights of this campsite are the the easy access to the cold river, the extremely starry night skies, and the welcoming kind hosts. One thing I would suggest is to put down some woodchips under the tent spot at site 2; the ground is a loose dirt/sand, so everything inside the tent got very dusty and sandy right away. Site 1 has woodchip so maybe site 2 will be getting the same treatment in the future. Maritza and her family are absolutely lovely hosts and I hope that we can visit again!

Our dogs were thrilled that they could be off leash, and we were thrilled that there was a good fence to keep them from exploring *too* far.

Off the beaten path, this campsite gave me the remote feeling I was looking for while having the comfort of a friendly family nearby. I was greeted with warm smiles and a tour of the property. The river created a peaceful ambiance all night, the stars were beautiful and the moon was bright. There is no cell service for an hour or more around but I was provided with WIFI to let others know I arrived safe (as I was camping alone). I will definitely go back. The hammock over the river was lovely to drink coffee in the morning.
