In 2024, Wild Plumas will be transitioning to only one glamping site and one cabin, which means even more privacy and room to roam! Wild Plumas is located on our family's private 50-acre property at the base of the Sierra Nevada. Rent one site, or the whole property for a larger event like a reunion, retreat, or small wedding! The camps are completely private (each one has 3+ acres). The Wild Rose offers a large canvas tent with two queen beds, comfortable bed/bedding, an outdoor kitchen area, private hot shower, and more (check the listings for details). We also have one year-round cabin (The Shabby Cabin), with a queen sized bed, indoor woodstove, outdoor covered kitchen, and private hot shower. We are located one hour from the Mount Lassen Volcanic National Park, and minutes from swimming holes, lakes, and a million acres of National Forest- or simply stay at the property and enjoy the on-site hiking trails, free loaner bikes, treehouse, zip line, and kid's ninja warrior course. The campsites are also just a few steps from swimming holes along the creek that runs throughout. Thank you for respecting our new policy of no dogs allowed. We love your pets, and we know they travel as part of your family! Unfortunately, for the safety of local wildlife, and the sustainability of our accommodations, we no longer permit pets at either site. Please note: Our community was severely affected by the Dixie Fire. Although you can't tell from within our property, the nearby area was heavily burnt, as well as the nearby town of Greenville. During your stay, you may hear the sounds of Greenville as the town rebuilds (1.5 miles away) and you may incur brief driving delays on your way here. When you arrive at Wild Plumas- an oasis of green within the black- you will see what a miracle it is that we survived! We thank you for your patience and for your support of our small business during this time. Be sure to visit Greenville's new pop-up downtown with food trucks, a thrift store, and an outdoor bar. Each site accommodates between two-four people and additional adults are $10/night who are welcome to sleep outdoors in their own tents. There is no charge for children. Not sure your plans? We get it! If you need to postpone your reservation, we allow✨no-fee✨re-booking (with at least a 7-day notice of your reservation).

The Shabby Cabin (Shabbin)
Peaceful place
The land was beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed our time walking around and exploring. The fire-pit and outdoor area was cozy and well set up. We took naps in the hammocks listening to all the critters. The game room, tree house, and other activities were fun.

The Shabby Cabin (Shabbin)
Cozy Winter Cabin
We visited in the winter when temperatures were in the 30s at night. The little wood stove heated up the Shabbin so well which made it warm, cozy, and just the winter cabin experience we were looking for! We loved setting up the wingback chairs right in front of the wood stove after exploring all day. The owners provided a hatchet, a water jug, bbq pit, plenty of table/counter space, and enough blankets to keep us warm. We got to hike around Josie’s property which was very fun and spacious. The cabin itself was super cute and homey. The bed was very comfortable! The porta potty was close to the cabin and very clean. We would definitely visit again. If you plan to visit in the winter, we suggest starting a fire in the little wood stove a couple hours before going to bed to keep the cabin nice and toasty.

The Shabby Cabin (Shabbin)
Shabbin’ cabin was fabulous!
The new Shabbin’ cabin was absolutely beautiful! They made it so comfortable, cute & cozy! We had stayed in their Wild Rose glamping site before and were so anxious to visit this cabin. It actually was even better than what we expected. The inside was just perfect, great small wood-burning place, that was the perfect size which kept the cabin nice & toasty. The seating inside gave us great spots to take a load off after days of exploring around the property and the surrounding areas. So much to see within the area so coming back to the cabin is such a treat! Also, the outdoor cooking area and amenities are great for camping life. You truly are able to have a ‘glamping’ experience while experiencing the beautiful outdoors. Being nestled in the woods of Wild Plumas is such a special treat and we can’t wait to return in the Spring!

The Shabby Cabin (Shabbin)
The Shabbin was the perfect destination for a trip away even now that it is winter. The wood fire place kept us warm as well as set the coziest mood! The cabin was clean and there were plenty of extra blankets provided. The interior wood paneling is impressive and gorgeous. Wild Plumas has been our go-to to get outside and unplug. Such a hidden gem!

The Wild Rose: Site #1
Autumn camping at Wild Plumas
Everything about campsite #1 was great! The tent was spacious and the beds were comfy- a perfect place to be in the autumn. The kitchen area was user-friendly and used a great deal. My family and I enjoyed walking around the campgrounds and the game tent was popular with our 10 year old. There was enough fun things to do around the camp to keep everyone busy. I would definitely recommend Wild Plumas!
