IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ IN IT'S ENTIRETY

DIRECTIONS - Please save or print out the directions from this listing. You may not have internet access once you are in the mountains and Google Maps or GPS DOES NOT PROPERLY GET YOU TO OUR PLACE. It will take you the very long way on dirt roads.

LAST MINUTE CANCELLATIONS - Unfortunately we cannot accept last minute cancellations for refunds due to any impromptu scheduling. You are welcome to not stay every night of your reservation, however, due to the heavy demand for the site we could have had it booked. We need more than a few hours notice to rebook it.

WEATHER - Please be aware that we are in the mountains and that the weather can change quickly. Depending on the month of your reservation please be prepared for 3 season camping. Summer thunder showers are typically at higher elevations but we can be affected. Snow (4th season) can happen until late into Spring and typically can come back late in the Fall.

Again, please save or print out the directions from this listing under "Directions".

Experienced/regular campers understand what "Primitive - No Facilities" means and will be prepared to enjoy the privacy our location offers.

Inexperienced/first time campers will find the sites lacking some of the usual amenities found elsewhere.

We are offering what we can with what we have - a safe, quiet place to rest and lie your head at night.

We would like to see people check in between 4pm and 9pm to be shown to your site.  Any later and we are starting to relax.

If you find that this site is already booked please consider our second site "Where the Pavement Ends - Camp site".

RV's and TRAILERS please note that 24' is the longest rig that will make one of the sharp turns up to site.  When towing a trailer this total length must be taken into account.  A 24' trailer towed by a pickup truck will not make it.

Water and Porta-Potty available.

This was a great place to rest before heading home after visiting Yosemite all day. The campsite is large and surrounded by plenty of tall trees. Brad and Tammy, the hosts, live on the property but their trailer was mostly out of view from camp. They provided us with two sleeping pads and a tent and we slept very comfortably at night (they charge $5/tent). We loved sitting in the hammock during the evening, too!

The road to the property is unpaved (dirt) and you will cross a shallow creek. We made it fine in a VW Rabbit (similar to a VW Golf), just remember to drive slow over bumpy and rocky areas!

There's no table at camp, so we cooked on the ground and on top of our coolerMorning tea!We used a sleeping pad as a surface to cook our breakfast!Hot tea in my Hipcamp mug and a yummy breakfast to start our day!

Great, quiet and pretty spot. A hammock in just the right spot, beautiful stars, yosemite around the corner. Brad and Tammy are a treat!

We loved our stay at Where the Pavement Ends. Brad and Tammy were very friendly and welcoming. It was so nice to have a tent and sleeping pads set up for us when we arrived. I would definitely like to camp here again!

Primitive doesn't begin to describe this site! Nice, friendly hosts, but their idea of a campsite is really different. I felt uncomfortable having a marajuana (medical permit noted) garden right next to our rv. Although he was told that we were pulling a 21-ft rv, he didn't taken into consideration that we were pulling it with a truck. Good thing we had 4-wheel drive...that driveway has rut about 9" deep...needs to be fixed yesterday! An adventure I don't care to repeat.....
