If you want to just wander in the desert, there's plenty of room. If you prefer a hike in the hills the park is just right there.
Located 20 minutes from a bunch of rocks...like a lot of rocks...so many they made a park.
Plenty of birds and lizards, and the cactii while not very exciting are still fun to look at, plenty of them as well.
Natural features you'll find at Wendy's Kick it Spot in California.

My girlfriend and I were Wendy's very first hipcamp guests and you never would have known it. Wendy stayed in touch before and during our stay, checking to make sure all was well. The spot is terrific, Large shade trees (very handy in the desert), a welcoming fire pit, chairs and tables throughout the grounds, incredible privacy with nary a soul for miles, gorgeous Joshua Tree desert views and soulful RV trailer all kitted out just in case and just because. Wendy is a fun and caring host and the camp spot is just right. Also, very close to the Integratron, which a must visit. I'd visit again and recommend highly.
Wendy's spot is in a pretty remote area about 20 minutes NNW of downtown Joshua Tree. Great spot as a basecamp if you want to explore the park or check out the local sites in Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, or 29 Palms. Plenty of space to set up your tent without being on top of another Hipcamper, lots of seating and table space is provided (no need to pack that stuff), and a few great shade trees to hang out under so you can get out of the sun.
AMAZING! Such a cute RV and campsite! The campsite has this beautiful tree that is like an umbrella. The RV is decked out with cozy decor and clean linens. We wanted to live here! Wendy was the nicest and most peaceful host, she genuinely has put so much effort towards making her spot welcoming for guests who just want an awesome visit to Joshua Tree. Whether you are wanting to go on a little desert vacations with your friends or just needing some space, Wendy has the space and accommodations to make sure your trip is a success and a great memory.
Wendy's kick it spot is one we'd come back to time and time again. If you're looking for a super rad and peaceful place where you can enjoy good company, listen to sweet tunes, and spend a few nights under the stars consider checking her spot out. Just a quick drive to Joshua Tree National Park, Wendy's place provides solace and a place to rest your head. Take a nap in the hammock, read a book beneath the branches of a dope ass tree, or chat it up with Wendy.
Our stay at Wendy's place was awesome! They had a cool fire ring where we were all hanging out through the night. Watching the stars was great. Her property was clean and organized and she personally came out to greet us. I'd recommend the place.
Wendy’s kick it spot is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the desert skies. She’s super hospitable, and her two dogs Dave and Peanut are soooo cute! I’ve been twice already, and will definitely be back!
Wendy's spot was exactly what we had been looking for. It had this inimitable high-desert feel to it. The location was great, Wendy was super nice and we had a wonderful time. We wish we had stayed longed, but hopefully we'll be back!
