About Antje's Guest House
Original wood frame small farmhouse on Wasioja Ranch. Over 100 years old. Restored inside as a charming, comfortable abode, it has one small bedroom with antique 3/4 bed, plus two large comfortable couches for sleeping in living room and adjacent sitting room. Unique bathroom off bedroom is ladies favorite; claw-foot bathtub next to very large window that has a great view of the East pasture "trap", or paddock with large water trough that attracts wildlife as well as cattle. We believe the main reason ladies love to
bathe in the tub is the view (no curtains) that appeals to a sense of safe exhibitionism.....Fully equipped kitchen offers antique four-place dining table, refrigerator, micro -wave, antique propane cook stove.

The vibe at Antje's Guest House
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We had a wonderful time at Antje's guest house. The natural beauty was astonishing, with great star gazing at night and vast valleys to go on long walks. The guest house was very comfortable and well equipped, with sitting areas both inside and around the house for reading and relaxing. Antje was a truly gracious and welcoming hostess. She treated us to fresh eggs from the ranch and made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely hope to be back soon.
Antje's & her husband's ranch is a beautiful, sprawling property that is so peaceful and removed. We were super comfortable in the 120-year-old original homestead of the farm's property and enjoyed the sun and every way it hit the building. We enjoyed walks around the property, checking out the cattle and the riverbed that was mostly dried up, but still very cool to check out nonetheless. It was challenging to get a hold of Antje, because the number I received after booking was incorrect for the landline, but it wasn't hard to find on the road we were directed to, and that made for little trouble for us finding it. Antje was an awesome host and we are definitely going to recommend our friends and family to it, and hope to stay there again another time :)
Antje's guest house was the perfect weekend getaway from LA. The house is adorable and cozy with everything you need for a perfect stay. We brought blankets and pillows for the couches just in case but turns out Antje already has all of these! The kitchen is well equipped with cooking tools and a gas stove. There is even a coffee maker! The bathtub was by far our favorite part!
Antje and Web were so sweet and chatted with us and answered all of our many questions about the ranch! They even invited us to a lunch they were hosting - we were unable to attend but they were SO hospitable! We also enjoyed wandering around the porch off their main house - truly a western ranch house!
It was nice to wander around the property and explore. My dog was in heaven with all of the smells and free space! We will most certainly return - hopefully when the sky is more clear so we can do some star gazing!
Antje's place is like an oasis. The cottage is set apart from the main house and is so cozy and cheerful. The tub is definitely the highlight, the view being gorgeous while you soak. Antje met us on arrival and was very warm and welcoming.
Antje's Guest House was amazing, exactly as pictured. What a beautiful ranch. When we first turned off Highway 166 onto Wasioja Road, we were greeted by free range cattle roaming happily in the road - I loved it! What a greeting :) We enjoyed hiking all over the property, spending time with the cows, and exploring the area. My dog loved it, and the baby cows loved him. The bed was super comfy, the fireplace kept the house nice and cozy, and the tub was perfect. Antje invited us in and showed us her beautiful home and we had a glass of wine with her and her husband on their back patio. What a lovely couple, living a beautiful life. I hated to leave and would definitely recommend a stay at the Wasioja Ranch! <3
