Come take a journey to nature in Paradise amongst abundant oaks and farm animals then travel back in time into the richness of our original 1960 Airstream full off warmth, comfort and nostalgia. Fully restored and modernized, enjoy our tranquil 6.5 acre foothill farm setting in an icon from days of old.

Be lulled to sleep to the sounds of crickets and owls. Watch the sun rise and set, then the moon loom large over Paradise. Gaze out of Nena's abundant windows onto pasturing animals, flocks of wild turkey, scurrying California quail, and stoic treed surroundings. Take a nearby hike, kayak at Paradise Lake, or ride horses all day long. These are just a few of the many activities available just outside Nena's door.

We call her Nena in memory of Julio's mom who was with us the day we first discovered this land. Filled with the amenities of modern times, Nena has Tuft and Needle mattresses with luxury linens, updated and loaded kitchen and bath, dining/laptop table, TV/DVD, fans, air conditioner, and more. However, we also insisted on maintaining Nena's original integrity and iconic quality. We refreshed her solid cherry wood interior, all appliances, her Zolotone wall paint, curtains, hardware, lights, shelving, and fabric coverings in her original color scheme.

Enjoy our land by lounging on the brick patio in front of the Airstream, in the rose garden or on the patio behind the big house. Take a nap on the hammock. Walk the property to visit the alpaca, sheep, steer, kittens, dog, or chickens, or take a nature stroll down the country road. Star gaze without limits lying on the big house lawn. You can see the Milky Way clearly and the stars actually twinkle in the winter! Freely enjoy this quiet country space and fresh air.

Cell service is good and we have fiber optic Wi-Fi . Due to our rural location, however, it is slower than you may be accustomed to. The TV has a built in DVD player and a flash drive plug in, or can be connected to a lap top. If you want to watch a DVD, we'd love to lend you our collection. If you need a band aid, a needle and thread, or anything for the kitchen that we haven't thought of, anything at all, just let us know. Julio and I love interacting with guests but we also respect your reasons for travel. Come hang out or lay low.  We're flexible. We have four adult children who are sometimes around and grandpa who lives half time here and the other half in Peru. We also have kittens and a Border Collie named Caspian who wander our property. The dog can be kenneled upon request.

Drive 22 min. to downtown Chico and Chico State, famous Bidwell Mansion, or Bidwell Park, 15 minutes to Limesaddle Marina on Lake Oroville or Butte Creek Canyon. Drive 7 minutes to Butte College, or just 3 minutes to Paradise for antiquing. Bike or walk the Paradise historic trail that follows the old railroad line through Paradise, visit the Paradise Depot Museum or the Gold Nugget Museum.

Julio was an awesome host! Their property is secluded and quite and the perfect place for our weekend getaway from SF.
The airstream was clean and fully stocked with fresh farm eggs, muffins, coffee, tea and beautiful wildflowers. They even left a handwritten note in the pillow with chocolates to welcome us. They have an amazing ranch with a llama, sheep, horses, chickens, ducks and kittens. Their dog, Caspian, was friendly and greeted us in the morning and at night ;)
We will be back again and will recommend it to anyone headed to Tahoe or Mendocino. Also a great place if you want to go just north of Sacramento! Thank you to the Velasquez Tambo family for making it such a memorable experience!

Carolyn and Julio were fantastic hosts. Their Airstream is lovingly restored with most features being the ‘60s originals in great condition. Their site is beautiful and peaceful, with sweet animals to visit and hang out with. I was looking for a quiet getaway and this worked out perfectly.

We had an amazing time at Tambo Ranch!! Julio was the nicest host--super accommodating and easy to talk to. We loved the animals and the cute property. Caspian is the sweetest dog! We had total privacy while still having Julio available to answer any questions. Would definitely recommend this AirStream to anyone who is looking for a cozy get-a-way with some very friendly farm animals!

Impeccable accommodations and warm welcoming hosts-- a winning combination! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and were satisfied in every way. The Airstream is vintage perfection, the farm animals were so fun to visit, the eggs and muffins were a real treat, and Julio was a fantastic host. And such a plus to be able to bring much-needed revenue to the Paradise area. We hope to come back.
