At La Boheme, you will find a tranquil Safari Tent Glamping experience - with hiking/biking trails and all sorts of outdoor activities anywhere from a 5 minute walk to 30 minutes away by car---- but you can also hop on the Gold Line train (which is a 1 minute walk out the back door) and in choosing one direction, you are a couple of stops from Chinatown or Downtown LA's rich cultural experiences & exciting nightlife. If you decide to explore in the other direction, Metro's Gold Line (in 1 stop) will take you to the heart of Highland Park's bustling scene - offering a smorgasbord of eateries, coffee-shops, speakeasies, boutiques, yoga studios and art galleries - including LA's oldest bowling alley: Highland Park Bowl. Take the train further and you're in the heart of glorious Pasadena (home to The Rose Bowl and exceptional Norton Simon Museum)-- or continue out to beautiful Sierra Madre -- where there is hiking and exploring galore! At La Boheme you can grill onsite, order take-out, dine out, stay-in and book a personal masseuse (that will change your world!) You can find places to hike, bike, play tennis, come back and shower (with hot water) - enjoy some bubbly with your honey on the deck -- take the train downtown to catch a concert at the Staples center -- Uber back - light the chiminea -- roast a s'more or two and crawl into your super comfy REAL bed in your REAL Safari Tent! Remember -- this is URBAN Glamping -- a friendly reminder that there can be normal city noises throughout your stay -- like a Fire Engine answering a call - or the train running behind the property -- or a kid crying in the apartment next door. It happens. Life happens. Of the several people who have already enjoyed the Glamping experience of La Boheme -- normal city noise/life hasn't dampened the experience at all-- only made it more intriguing! There is both a fan for air circulation and/or "white noise" as well as a heater, if you should need either of them. Plenty of extra blankets are available as well as a blow-up air mattress if you are a booking for 3 guests. La Boheme also is a venue for weddings and other events -- so we love hosting and want to do whatever we can to make your stay the best it can be for you! Please reach out with any questions or recommendations for the area. If you are new to the area - definitely spend a little time Googling ALL that is available to you - and I'll do my best to fill any blanks-- ha! Looking forward to meeting and hosting you at La Boheme. - Hillary

The vibe at Urban Glamping at La Boheme
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
La Boheme was an absolute GEM in a beautiful part of Los Angeles. If you are looking for a full glamping experience - you have found the perfect place. Hillary is a fantastic host and is always looking to accommodate your needs as a guest. There is a BBQ with gas, plenty of firewood for a firepit, full amenities (small fridge, utensils, plates, towels, compost toilet, shower, sink, etc.), and plenty of places to sit and relax to enjoy a bit of peace from the hustle and bustle of the city. The bed inside of the tent fits two comfortably and a twin air mattress is provided for an extra guest! Nearby there are tons of speakeasies, coffee shops, parks, museums, and hikes to enjoy. One day was certainly not enough with all you could do. The cats and Luna (the chicken) were fun to be around and we will most definitely be back for a full experience.
All in all, a 10/10 experience and would recommend to all looking to get away from the city or enjoy a beautiful place with fairy lights and a "secret garden" feel. Thanks Hillary!!
My partner and I spent two weeks traveling around California staying in different places each night and this was by far our favorite place. Such a beautiful site! Every detail was perfect. Thank you so much for making this a lovely stay for us.
OMG Hilary is AMAZING. This was our last hipcamp location after staying at 5 prior and this was one of the BEST. The space is absolutely adorable and the attention to detail that Hilary put into hosting her space was bar none. Seriously. HIGHLY recommended. I wish we could have stayed another night and explored the area. Hilary needs a guest book so folks like us can leave notes for her ;) Best. Host. Ever. Thanks for making our stay extra special. This was the perfect end to a long honeymoon glamping trip. PS - there is a really friendly cat that hung out with us while we played board games (Hilary brought us like 15 to choose from!).
Hillary was an awesome host! Great communicator and really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. La Boheme was an absolutely beautiful urban glamping experience. Cool location by the Gold Line which made DTLA accessible by public transportation as well!
Hilary, and her Urban Glamping at La Boheme, exceeded all expectations.
First, Hilary is an outstanding host. From the moment I booked to the moment I left, she was most hospitable. Ensuring step-by-step fulfillment of an outstanding experience.
Second, the location is a perfect getaway. Quiet, peaceful, and with tons of amenities.
Overall, I’d recommend this place as the perfect getaway for you and your significant other. A must consider if you want to be outdoors but not not completely engulfed in nature.
I would love to go back again soon. :)
Hillary’s place was awesome. She had everything one needed. Perfect BBQ so I recommend taking some food to cook - once you get there you won’t want to leave! Comfy, clean camping. Highly recommend.
