Great spot to stop!
Brittny has a unique, quaint property close to the beach between Arcata and Eureka. We pulled up our small 19' RV and parked beside the cabins on the right-hand side. There was an electrical hookup in the kitchen we plugged into, and we hooked up to the garden hose for water.
The site doesn't offer much privacy - you're parking in the wide communal drive for the property, but you cannot beat the sauna and soaking tub, which is perfect after a day of driving and wandering through redwoods. We came back twice for this! She also has a communal outdoor kitchen, bathroom, and garden for you to use.
Wonderful arcata vibe
Brittny was a wonderfully friendly host. In addition to the camping sites, she has a couple VRBO or Airbnb cabins. Those looked pretty sweet too. There is a long beautiful deserted beach only a short walk away. My dog adored it.
Two thumbs up !!!
Me and my boyfriend stayed on the property, it’s a unique set up and totally our style. If you are open to sharing space in a awesome location this is the spot for you. Britny is an amazing host and is so hospitality but let’s say that this location draws in a certain kinda crowd. Like if your not at least a little hippy dippy you probably won’t enjoy it as much. But if you’re a full blown tree hugger come on thru because it’s def the spot for you!!! The sauna and bath are awesome. And if you’re into taking a little drive check out Shasta Lake. You won’t be disappointed, we wouldn’t have even known about it unless Britny had had the Northern California paper in the kitchen. We will very likely return here, it’s too good to not :)
Brittny seems like a nice person but she didn't have time to meet us or give us a tour since there was a meditation going on. We felt like it was a hassle for her to show us where to park and plug in our RV.
We ended up not using any of the amenities other than electricity and parking for our RV, so it really felt way too expensive.
Cute, social spot, would go back!
We were roadtrippin down the coast, and started our journey at Brittny's place! She so kindly helped us find a spot to park even though we arrived late at night. As other reviews have mentioned, it's not private, but everyone was so friendly with good vibes, and we have privacy curtains for our car, so we were totally cool. It's an eclectic spot with anything you'd need for camping - water, bathroom, Japanese soaking tub, ya know. The basics :) We only stayed the night and didn't hang much, but we would totally come back! Great little spot on an island near Eurkeka.
We had a beautiful stay. Great vibes at Brittny’s place and really wonderful people. 5 min walk to a wide deserted beach. Japanese soaking tub is amazing. Very clean. We’ll definitely be back.
