We spend a relaxing night at Karens camper.
The camper itself is very cute and has everything you need. It has a stove and a fridge, a table for dinner inside and a double sleeping space.
However there is no reason to eat inside. The garden itself is a beautiful and peaceful place to hang out. There is a swing hanging form the tree in front of the camper, tables and chairs scattered all over so there are several spots to do your reading, or just enjoying a glass of wine. There is a fire pit and firewood around for the colder nights and Karen puts flower arrangements everywhere!
The ceramic is has lovely painted decorations.
A 5 min walk brings you to the river where you can swim. A short drive brings you to several hiking routes and Cold Spring Tavern, a lively bar and restaurant where you can listen to some live music if you come at the right time.
Karen makes sure you have everything you need and is just a wonderful women. Definitely recommended if you think of visiting St Barbara County.
Charming vintage trailer
I loved my time staying at the sweet LoveBug trailer Under the Stars. Karen was a welcoming and attentive host. The trailer is charming and well equipped. Sheltered under a magnificent Oak it was wonderfully cool even in the hottest part of the day. There was lovely touches everywhere from fresh flowers, nice linens to a hot shower in the well turned out bathroom.
It's a short walk to gorgeous river swimming and an easy drive to the beach. Looking forward to my next visit soon!
Such a beautiful site! And to say Karen is an amazing host is an understatement. I felt completely taken care of as well as accurately informed about all the beautiful hikes, places to eat, and things to do in the area. Her garden is beautiful and the vibe there is calm, serene, and real. I can't say enough about the beautiful site and host!
The drive to this location is one best leisurely taken so you can enjoy all the things on the way. It’s in the mountains just above the tropical beaches of Santa Barbara, which make a great pit stop before you continue on the rest of the way. I was greeted by Karen once I arrived and she showed me around the property. She also showed me how to get down to the river, be sure to ask her about this if you plan on going swimming! She showed me the bathroom trailer next to the trailer that houses the toilet and shower, which is definitely a nice addition to the experience.
The trailer had everything I might have needed. It was well stocked with kitchen supplies, that made my night of cooking an ease. She also supplied drinking water and even brought over some delicious homebrewed iced tea! The full bed was quite cozy and there were extra blankets in the cabinets if its a colder night. There was even space to hang up clothes in the closet if need be.
I never wanted to leave this adorable trailer! It definitely takes you back in time with the retro 50s interior. Definitely, recommend this spot if you’re looking for a place to unplug for a bit in the mountains.
Just what we needed
Karen was excellent and the spot was too. The trailer was comfortable, and the surrounding nature was just what we needed. She had precise information for several nearby rivers, two of which we enjoyed, and one of which was at least 4 feet deep, allowing for a refreshing swim! Can't think of a negative. Karen was a very carin' host.
awesome place, views are terrific, hospitality amazing she is the best i couldn't ask for anything more. Fresh homemade orange juice left outside the door to wake up to. I can't say enough good things about karen or the place.
My girlfriend and I stayed here over night on our way up the coast. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the place! It is in the back of the hostess garden and my girlfriend and I loved this charming place! I am a larger guy (200lbs) and both of us slept comfortably in the trailer. The bathroom onsite was very clean and plenty to see and do around the area. Karen was very kind leaving us cold water and some chocolate in the fridge along with a list of suggestions of things to do. I will definitely be back to stay if ever in the area!
I stayed with my 4 years old son. Everything so nice. Swimming river is only 5 min away. Good for my son's age. Karen's trailer is so clean and cute. Hot shower and clean bathroom is very nice. Also we got welcome fruit too.(my son eat everything!!) And much more more !!
After check out we went to Lake Cachuma. It's only 15 min away. Very convenience. They have a nice pool too.
Karen is an amazing host. Such a nice parson. Definitely recommended this beautiful place. Thank you so much Karen.
A magical weekend
The lovebug trailer was everything my boyfriend and I wanted and more! Karen is such a gracious, attentive, and thoughtful host. She made sure we had absolutely everything we needed (she even brought us fresh orange juice in the morning *sooo yummy*) and provided us with very helpful information about the area.
Just 10 min down the road are the Red Rock Pools, which were INCREDIBLE to swim in during the day, and at night we roasted s'mores.
All in all, we are so thankful that Karen shared her beautiful property with us and we will definitely be back!
