Creekside Camping was amazing! It was a little hard for us to find the property but that was the only negative. Once we got there Justin met us and let us know where the camp was from the parking area etc. The camp itself is a 10 minute walk down a steep hill and then you get to a beautiful spot right by the creek. There weren't too many bugs and the stars were beatiful at night. The creek is great for exploring and you get the whole spot just to yourself. Afterwards Justin gave us fresh eggs from their chickens. One of the best camp spots Ive ever been to hands down. We will definitely be back!
The creekside camp was perfect for a quick weekend trip to the woods. The spot is nestled right next to the creek, so I can imagine it being extra nice to stick your toes in on a hot summer day. Great hangout spot for some quiet and nature time. There were other campers in a spot a little ways down, and we didn't even hear them at all. Highly recommend this spot for a quick getaway.
We loved this spot on Tilted Hill Ranch. The walk from parking to the site was short, we were welcomed when we arrived, and they had us fully stocked with firewood. It was so quiet at night, it felt like we had the place to ourselves, and the water flowing in the creek is lovely to fall asleep to. Would definitely recommend!
Believe it or not, the amazing reviews don't do it justice. This is among my top 5 favorite camping spots and I've been camping since I was 2 years old. I won't labor you with how great it is; just go. Also, though, the hosts are probably the coolest people you'll meet this year. This spot is basically an advertisement for hipcamp. Hipcamp is very, very lucky to have them! I will be back for sure.
Such happy, generous hosts and such a beautiful site - you really feel like you have been given access to something pristine and rare here. The hike in does have a few steep spots, as noted in the description, and if you arrive after dark as we did, you'll want to keep your bearings. But really this site is all about the open arms you'll receive and the incredible presence of life unimpeded on this land. We loved it all.
I had such a nice time at the Tilted Hill Ranch that I booked another weekend while I was staying there. The campsite is beautiful, serene, and feels very secluded. I'd recommend putting some thought into packing as there is a short hike to the site, but we were able to get everything we needed there without too much effort. Justin was a fantastic host - very responsive and clear the whole time. The campsite was set up with firewood and a few helpful conveniences (camp shower, water pail), and we were warmly sent home on Easter Sunday with a pack of fresh eggs from the chickens at the ranch. Can't wait to go back!
Steep path; drive 1hr to swimming!
A great site! Strongly recommend!
This site is further from the parking than Ridgeview, and the path has a few very steep parts that are dusty/slippery, so be prepared.
The Central Valley is HOT in July so you won’t want to stick around camp: get OUT of camp in the heat of the day and go swimming at Bear Valley Reservoir!
Creekside Camping was beautiful! You have your own private spot right above the creek with a fire pit ad well. Justin left a bucket of water and a shovel there for ease of use, and we were even invited to wine tasting nearby! I would go again!
