The Zeppelin provided the perfect weekend getaway with our pup. The views were gorgeous and there were so many benches/tables and other shared places that everything still felt very private. Super close to the wineries and easy to get in and out. We're already planning our next trip to come back :-)
Perfect weekend get-away
We had a great weekend at Winwood. The Airstream was clean and comfortable, and the views from the ranch were amazing. It was easy to get to the ocean during the day, and a blast hanging out by the fire pit at night. We'll definitely be back.
Overall nice site and cute trailer. This is a newer property. Great potential, just need to iron out kinks. The fees were high especially due to the construction on site, not quite finished trailer (need light in bathroom, working lights above beds, windows that open) ,and although the pups were adorable, they need some discipline to stop barking during the night.
Highly recommend, will be back!
Staying at Windwood Ranch was so much fun! We made some great new friends and the facility was really spectacular. They have a cool soaking tub for when it gets hot mid day that I don't think is pictured. Super dog friendly. The Airstream was well done. The air conditioning was only required once or twice but it was a nice feature to have. If you are wine tasting in Paso, Templeton or SLOW, its a great spot. Out of the hustle and bustle but really close to everything. A 10min drive to grocery stores in case you forgot something.
Must-stay airstream, perfect for 2
This property is amazing!! Definitely a must visit location for everything for any sort or group party or just a weekend away to check out wineries.. It had a nice balance or private and community. We did drive out to wineries every day and it was soooooo convienent for the location. It’s a short drive to the west side wineries also. We loved Sculpterra, Cass, Daou, Villicana/Re:Find. Those were just the ones we made it to.
The inside of the airstream was nicely remodeled. The two beds were very comfortable for two adults and the two pups. We did have friends join us but they brought a Eurovan that worked great. The airstream we were in didn’t have the extra fold down bed, just an FYI. The mini fridge was great and overall we loved our time there
We really liked the grill and open picnic table areas. We brought our own little cooking stove which I would recommend. This was we could just cook up some breakfast at our airstream.
The fire pit was a hit every night, and the view at sunset while sitting in the chairs under the pergola was stunning. During the day is was all sorts of hot so the AC in the airstream was wonderful to have. Also, there is a wonderful metal water tank that had a solar blanket on top. We took it off and hopped right in, the water was wonderful and the whole experience was great.
The airstreams come with showers but they are a little cramped with me at 6’2. So, I took a shower in that one and the next time I just walked over to the permanent shower down past the cooking area. The shower was so nice. Toilet in there, big mirror, big shower and my dog just relaxed in there with me while I showered.
I brought two dogs with me. The owner was there and he had two of his pups (both very well behaved and beautiful). The other campers also had dogs of various sizes and everyone had a blast.
I am definitely looking forward to coming back.
I’m glad I got to meet Jeffery the male half of the owners. He was very friendly.
The airstream was amazing. Clean, well decorated, complete with a vinyl record player. Bathroom worked well and beds were very comfy! Also, town was an easy Uber/Lyft or drive away. Highly recommend!
Relaxing, meditative and awesome!
My wife and I wanted to finish our 2 week camping trip with a site and location that was a bit different than staying in a tent or hotel.
Since I was in charge of camping, I spent an extensive amount of time researching all of our different options.
The description of the location by the host is right on the mark. From directions to the location and the communal and private amenities available.
What makes this site so special and unique is the location and sleeping options.
The location is remote enough that the sunset and ability to see the night sky without bright lights, that would lessen your ability to see the stars, is breathtaking.
There is a pergola where you can sit and watch the sunset. In a word, incredible.
However, although you feel “in the middle of nowhere,” in all actuality you are a very short drive to the town of Paso Robles.
Paso Robles is a gorgeous town with cute restaurants and shops all selling a plethora of different items, including antiques.
For the sleeping accommodations we could choose between teepees or airstreams.
As soon as we saw the description of the “Zeppelin” airstream, we were sold.
It had a bathroom with a shower, kitchen with a microwave and small fridge and a seating area.
The Zeppelin had to single beds. I initially thought this was a negative for us, but because the airstream is so cozy, and the beds are close enough together, that it worked out great.
The Zeppelin had what looked like an original record player with various albums. We immediately put on Crosby, Stills and Nash, which then put a big smile on our faces.
Perfect spot, great location! Super clean, even the bathroom!
Loved the small touches like the record player and french press. Would definitely stay again (and wish I could have stayed longer!)
