Our stay at The Now Homestead was amazing! Colleen thought of everything. The yurt was fully equipped with blankets, towels, lanterns, a phone charger, waters, and a heater for when it gets chilly at night. The memory foam mattress was INCREDIBLE after a long day of hiking in Joshua Tree National Park. The yurt was a short walk from the car and it was easy to load our stuff in and out. Definitely would stay here again!

Mixed review for the stay. The Yurt was amazing an experience for glamping, the location was close to town but quiet and private - still a little bit of city lights but very enjoyable, the site was very unique and lots of thought was put into the landscaping.

The negative experience would be an incident with a pre-existing broken zipper for the entrance that the host submitted a damage claim to HipCamp stating I’m liable to repair/replacement of the Yurt. After further review, HipCamp confirmed that I’m not liable since it was already damaged before my arrival. I wish this was handled better by the host and damages are repaired before any future booking.

The yurt was tied down and both sides of the zippers functioned. You were instructed by the host how to enter the tent. It was not damaged prior to your visit. When you left teeth were missing from the zippers. Maybe an animal did it or an alien but it was damaged and we lost rental revenue and had a broken zipper.
