Hello dear campers! We are only open part time now, so do check our calendar often. We follow Covid-19 cleaning guidelines, and strive to keep each cabins campers separate. BRING YOUR OWN BEDDING! See below...

This private, "rustic bohemian" cabin is super cozy! It sleeps TWO people max on a raised bed platform (queen size) with rug. There is space for a tent as well for your friends, but no more than two cars please. Please note the cabin is not air conditioned.

PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT PROVIDE BEDDING  - so bring your own sleeping bags/pads, air mattress, blankets, pillows, flashlights, towels, etc. Make it your own cozy space. Please check weather and dress appropriately, winter nights are chilly in the desert.

Our private campsites have solar electricity!  Excellent cell reception, solar powered plug, potable water spigot, and a wash up sink next to the cabin! Private porta potty bathroom. No showers at this site. Easy drive to Joshua Tree National Park and 3 minutes to JT village with local shopping, JT Saloon, Saturday Farmer's Market. There is another camp site on the grounds - see our listing for The Desert Pensione - on the opposite side of the property. We respond quickly to inquiries or questions.

We MEET AND GREET our campers in front of the JT Saloon at 61835 29 Palms Hwy (Hwy 62) and Park Bl. in Joshua Tree, and we will lead them to the camp site.

Sorry, no large parties or events allowed. It's simply a matter of impact, noise, treading lightly, only one toilet, etc... This is private property and you are on it by permission. We want to keep your desert camping experience authentic.

We do not allow RV's. While dogs are allowed, we must know about it ahead of time, and be aware that there is another camp site on the other side of the main building that may be occupied, and may not like wandering pooches. Also note that the property is not fenced and the main highway is close by. Your dog must be well trained not to run off. Please pick up after your dog. Thank you!

very simple cute private camping spot. i would definitely go back :) saved us big time booking it in advance, since there was not one camping spot available inside the park.
(very close to the park)
Cheryl & Jimbo are super nice, very easy to communicate with. everything went smooth, so... happy campers here!:)

Very accommodating hosts and interesting site. The camp is super convenient to the town and national park. Only thing to consider is that there is quite a bit of white/road noise in the evening with the 62 close by.

Great location to the entrance of the park of Joshua tree and in a very cute town. Try to take a big group and camp in this location. We had two families one in Koti 1 and the other in Koti 2 and it was perfect.

Very cool setup, and when Jimbo finishes the full build (multiple sites), it's gonna be a very unique setup.

Really great option if you'd like to secure a spot to camp near Joshua Tree National Park (and not rely on first come first serve campsites in the park). The only drawback (other than not being inside the park) is that you can hear cars from highway 62.

Very cool spot. Would be great to be there with a group. The only thing is that it is quite close to the road and you hear the trucks coming by. I liked it a lot though. Nice to have a few amenities.

Koti 2 is the perfect desert campsite. We stayed here while seeing a show at Pappy and Harriets (only about a 15 minute drive from the camp). It's in a great location, close to Joshua Tree National Park and Yucca Valley. The campsite itself is secluded from the other camps at the property and a short walk to the new bathroom. The new bathroom was very clean and had a flush toilet, sink, and a solar powered light for nighttime. There is a wall that provides some privacy from the highway in the distance along with a picnic table, solar powered light and charging station at this site. Thanks to Cheryl and Jimbo for hosting us!

Loved my stay at Koti Camp! The property is super close to all the great shops and restaurants in Joshua Tree and right off Twentynine Palms, but still far enough away that it feels remote. We stayed after a show at Pappy's in Pioneertown and it was a perfect trip.

The property's architecture is very unique and makes it a very special place. Jimbo and Cheryl were really great and made the whole experience easy.

Would definitely stay again next time I'm visiting the Joshua Tree / Yucca Valley area :)

This trip was my first experience using Hipcamp, and it definitely will not be my last! Everything about this trip was great. Porte-Cochere is a nice campsite, with good facilities. It is near Joshua Tree, with easy access to both the park and the town. Cheryl and Jimbo were great hosts - they reached out a couple days before my trip to fill me in on the details and arrange a meeting time. They were very responsive to all my questions, and they were flexible, as they were able to easily accommodate my schedule, even when I ended up arriving a little later than I had initially said I would be. They have a very nice campsite - everything is clean and well-kept. I would definitely recommend this site to future visitors to the Joshua Tree area.

This adorable little cabin comfortably fits two (there's also plenty of space to pitch a tent.) The site feels really private thanks to Jimbo's aesthetically-pleasing use of trees, barriers, and fences, plus you get your own fire pit, picnic table, and bench. You can drive right up to the spot too, which is always handy.

In the common area, there's a water spigot and one of the coolest toilets I've seen on Hipcamp. You're a 5-minute drive from downtown Joshua Tree, and you can actually access JT National Park if you walk a mile along the road you turned off of to get to the site.

It was our second time here and definitely not our last!
