Welcome to our rustic get away, where our family gets away in just a short drive! We would love to share our cabin with you and hope you enjoy it and its surroundings as much as we do! The Cabin is 864 sq ft, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. One bedroom has a queen while the 2nd bedroom has 4 twin beds with beautifully handmade log bunkbeds. The living room also has a queen sofa sleeper if needed. The great room is open, roomy and cozy! The cabin is entirely single story with no stairs inside. However there are a few stairs coming up to the front door and also a few short steps to access the home in the rear and is not fenced. Parking is plenty and were one of the few with an easy access parking with a pull through driveway. There is adventure waiting right out the front door within a minute walk you step right into the national forest with whatever fancies you. A wonderful sled Meadow near by! Miles and miles of trails! We are also about a 10 minute walk to the lake and town! Our cabin comes equipped with Wifi and TV equipped to handle all your Netflix and HULU, bluetooth speaker to listen to your cabin tunes, and a good library of movies, reading and games!
We hope you enjoy our cabin and get to know GVL and love it as much as we do! There really is no place like it!

The Engels Nest was truly a dream! My friends and I were looking to get out of the desert heat and this cabin was the perfect stop! It's stocked with board games and all the kitchen supplies you would need. I love the area that the cabin is located in, Green Valley Lake. It's up near Big Bear but way less crowded and it literally felt like we were just hanging out in this neighborhood, unlike a lot of other towns where you can feel like you're just another tourist. My friends and I took a walk down to the lake where everyone was so friendly and a woman told us about a bald eagle that lives in the trees above the lake! Jodi also has a coffee table book stocked with the history of their family, how they came to visit GVL, and own the cabin which we LOVED. She also gave so many great recommendations on things to do, our favorite being the hike up the forest road to inspiration point. It is a ten minute walk up this little hill to a sweeping view of nearby mountains and valleys, it is the perfect place for a cup of coffee in the morning!
A lovely relaxing cabin
This is great get away cabin. The space and set up are awesome. I don't know If I would put more than 6 people in this place without being overly crowded, but we had 5 so it was good.
Only downside was that when the wind blew and we had the fireplace going it kept blowing all the smoke back into the cabin. It did make us a little nauseous. Other than that we was a great time.
We really enjoyed the cabin! It was really cozy and clean. We loved all the amenities they had with board games, comfy couches and a nice back deck to hang out in. Also it is walking distance from the lake and from trails. We didn't realize until the last day that there is a boat you can use too!
Loved our trip!
We loved our stay at Engels Nest! 8 of us got together to celebrate our friends birthday and it was the perfect place to stay - just under a mile walk to Green Valley Lake and a 30ish minute drive to Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake. Such a cozy & cute cabin in the woods! Although be careful with playing music later in the evening - as the next door neighbors are not the nicest people. Overall, a really great place to stay!
Perfect friends retreat
Jodi's cabin is so cute! She has everything there that makes it feel like home. Thank you for sharing your lovely space so we can make everlasting memories. The lake is a quick drive (15min walk) from the cabin. There is a $7 fee per person to enter. The lot can fit 4 cars comfortably. The fridge is full size and the stove and oven work perfectly. We got the white bathroom floor mats dirty and wanted to wash them but the washer/dryer there are not for guests it seems. If you arrive at exactly 3 pm you might still find the cleaning crew there. Which was no big deal for us. We wish there were more fans (There a small one in the living room) because it does get quite warm inside and opening all the windows and doors may disrupt the neighbors. The sound seems to magnify in the cabin. Our laughter bothered the side neighbor and we were told to keep it down. It didn't kill our joy. We still had a lot of fun and enjoyed our time in this beautiful cabin. Thank you!
