Welcome to the Enchanted Forest Retreat! We are a meditation retreat center with 45 acres of some of the most gorgeous redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains to enjoy hiking, creeks and small water fall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more. Our campground has running water from a natural spring, Men and Women's Restrooms each with 2 toilets and 1 hot water shower, laundry shed with sink and hot water, and an outdoor amphitheater, (the kitchen and washer/dryer is Staff Only not for campers). We have meditation teaching at the amphitheater and campers are welcomed to attend for free. 4-6 guests maximum with 1 car included in the nightly rate. Each additional vehicle is $15 per day and will be added at checkout once you add the correct number of vehicles you will be bringing. You can bring a maximum of 2 cars. PLEASE NOTE, we do not have a trash service on site, we require all campers to PACK OUT THEIR GARBAGE with them! Pets are $10 per day, 1 pet per group ONLY. Please add this as an extra at the time of booking, you will see the option to add extras once you begin the checkout process. Dogs must be on leash at all times! Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. No drugs of any kind including marijuana allowed. No loud music allowed. This is a private property so no visitors are allowed, only paid guests. Our onsite staff will go around and enforce the rules. NOTICE REGARDING RVs and TRAILERS: While we can not offer hookups, theoretically we have no problem with RVs, the road is steep in a couple of places getting down to the campground and VERY narrow in one spot (10ft). If you feel you're willing to take this risk (we won't be held liable), you're welcome to reach out to us and we can see if the site is good for RV/trailers. Only sites 8, 12 and 5 are good for trailers. No vehicle can drive into Site 7, 9, 10 and 11 (the parking area is separate). Other sites may be ok with small trailers. Check with the host. Any trailer larger than 20ft, take your own risk, there is a narrow point only 9ft wide.

Site 9 - Enchanted Forest Retreat w/Showers
Never got my ice (paid $10), campsite is on a massive hill so barely any flat ground, super muddy, poor communication, there was trash from past campsites everywhere, and the shower/bathroom area is a very long hike up past a couple other campsites. We figured out how to have a great time but it felt like there was so much promised and offered, in the end, not really delivered.

Site 8 - Enchanted Forest Retreat w/Showers
Can't be the convenient location close to town. Feels like a getaway yet only a 30 minute drive from los gatos. We went after some heavy rain, and campsite 8 is at a bit of a low spot. Was quite wet. We were in a 4 wheel drive van so not a big deal but a sedan/tent situation would have been a nightmare. All that said, would repeat and recommend.

Lots of space with a picnic table! Was close to the restrooms and would recommend.

Site 4 - Enchanted Forest Retreat w/Showers
We stayed in campsite 4 which had a nice view and was mostly flat. The road in and out of the campground is narrow and steep, making the drive to Santa Cruz and neighboring state parks, longer then anticipated. Sites don't have any fire rings or bear/raccoon boxes. There wasn't any info posted within the campground and we didn't have cell service. The trail past site 12 and down by the creek was pleasant. We saw banana slugs and newts! It is currently overgrown. This would be a pleasant place to stay if your only intention is to stay and camp. We were in and out going for hikes and visiting Santa Cruz and the drive was just too long and we didn't know if we could leave materials out without animals getting into things.

Site 6 - Enchanted Forest Retreat w/Showers
overall the experience was fine, the bathrooms are a little jankey and the drive to get there was confusing. the roads are very tiny. i drove a truck and even then it was difficult. besides that the overall experience was great!

Site 11 - Enchanted Forest Retreat w/Showers
Um, nope
We decided not to stay and forfeit our money. The campground is on a steep hill with too many tiny sites, some sites look like the campers are more like residents-couches on the site-looks like an encampment more than a camp ground. Toilets also not up to our very easy going standard. Road through camp ground is extremely steep and narrow. Can’t imagine trying to get there in the dark.
