When you want to have a acre to yourself near wonderful rivers, lakes, and mountain biking, this is a great spot. Chris start you off with some local hardwood for cozy fire in your own firepit, and for an upgrade, make sure the trailer has both water and electricity. It was great to just set up a kitchen with some portable tables and be basically done. Site is well shaded and you’re camping in a meadow next to a entertainment stage. Made me want to karaoke (almost :-) under the moon. Wake up to see robins in the woods, then enjoy a breakfast with a view of a little wooded canyon to start the next day of adventures. Wonderful host!

We had a magical stay at Lola's GetAway! Chris was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. He was friendly, helpful and communicative. The campsite, trailer and bathroom were clean and had all the amenities we needed. The property is private, quiet and well taken care of. We would love to come stay again and hopefully also book Chris' other site that has incredible views of the mountains. Heaven on earth. Thanks again Chris and Lola!

This was exactly what we were looking for. A private and pretty site. All the amenities we needed (water, electricity, clean bathroom and shower, fire pit, bbq). Everything was very easy. Chris is an incredibly friendly host and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed but gave us plenty of space. We loved lazing in the hammocks after a day of hiking and swimming in the Yuba River. We'd happily return.

This spot is in the hosts front yard in clear view of his house and not at all private. Pictures are super misleading. There are no flat spots to put your tent unless you want to sleep on a rather large amphitheater stage that is drenched in sun and is super exposed to neighbors and other foot traffic near by. The bathroom is also shared with another campsite, and a resident... which wasn’t disclosed when we booked the site... and was super gross. Toilet was backed up with poo when we arrived and our ‘water source’ was a garden hose laying in the dirt. Chris is nice, but his spot was awful.

I 100% recommend this spot. If you are looking for an authentic river/mountain Nevada City feel, Lola's Getaway is for you.

I came up with a group of girlfriends to Lola's Getaway. We were a group of five, and we all really enjoyed our stay.
Chris was very friendly and welcoming. Chris gave us recommendations of spots to check out along the river, what to do in town, and explained that his only request is that we have a good time and enjoy the magic of the Yuba! You'll find the magic there :) :) Make sure to stargaze!
The Lola location is a grassy amphitheater. providing us privacy but also easy access to the bathroom and in close enough distance to holler if something came up. You can see the folks from the other site walking in his driveway, but everyone kept to themselves and respected our privacy.

We shared the bathroom with the other site, I only saw them a few times and never had to wait to use the restroom. Chris provided sanitation wipes for the bathroom between each use to prevent the spread of germs. It's not a fancy bathroom, but it's clean and does the job, you are "glamping" after all!
All my friends and I plan to come up again next year. We left feeling we had a little river home waiting for our return.

After a long day exploring the Yuba Black Lives Matter @ Edward's Crossig Ruby! Chris' doggie, very gentle
