Talbot Campground sits near French Meadows Reservoir, the Middle Fork of the American River, and Talbot Creek at an elevation of 5600 feet. There is no potable water here, so bring some of your own, or be prepared to purify river water. You’ll have easy access to the Granite Chief Wilderness, great for hiking and backpacking adventures.
